AL-31fm2 have a new low pressure compressor (KND-924-4), the inlet diameter is 924 mm

117S have another new low pressure compressor, the inlet diameter is 932 mm

they are not the same engine.(Although I fodder that this parallel development is a waste of resources)

no, products “similar” of different companies but based on the same point of beginning (AL-31F)

This may be a bit off topic, but why has no one bought a license to build Fulcrums? Is it because MiG was not as willing to make the kind of deal Sukhoi did?

I think that in the book by Yefim Gordon said that North Korea bought the license in the 80

48 Su-27Sm in 4 Squadron + some units in Lipetsk, etc.

And how many MiG-29 SMT refused by Algeria are in RuAF service?

    Thanks.

AL31 FP, Single Crystal Blade done by Investment casting at HAL in a vacuum furnace. And I believe AL55 also have a single crystal blade..

and NK86A? I think it was the first soviet engine with monocrystal blades, I am not sure about NK-32.

It is difficult my to find the servicelife and MTBO of French motors. for example ATAR-9 and M53. Is similar its MTBO to contemporary American engines?

    Thanks

Another point important to compare is TMBO and service life, I believe that the RB199 loses in these parameters. How are compared the French motors with respect to the Americans in MTBO and service life? for example J-79 versus ATAR-9
