It hasn’t been into Manchester since they started services with the 777 quite a while back, which has been operated by a 744.

Yes, but Bristol is a long way south of LBA, therefore there it is much nearer to its destination and less fuel is required. A 738 at 24K is less powerful, therefore needs more runway space. A Ryanair 738 would struggle to get to southern Europe from LBA.

Paphos has a military base and security is tight, though there is an outside viewing area in departures. Larnaca has several good places to spot, but don’t linger for too long or the police could arrest you, especially if you are carrying an airband radio or a camera.
