I assume it’s replacing the A330 that blew all its tyres at MAN yesterday.
It doesn’t surprise me that LPL-JFK is getting cut. I think daily out of LPL was ambitious to start with, and I think 4 times a week is still a couple too many, but it’s more sensible. And it may also be to do with the fact GSM are having fleet problems too.
XL to Larnaca?? ..it has Finnair titles??
I have a feeling that aircraft is subbing for XL this summer at NCL.
Tommy, TCX don’t allow mobiles on at any time during the flight, even in flight safe mode.
Not all charter airlines are like that, TCX weren’t too bad when I had them a couple of weeks ago, though the service wasn’t too great on the return flight, but that might be due to the time of day we were flying.
So are Binter Canarias flying jets now ? I refer to the 737 shot that looks like a reject from Perry Como’s wardrobe ! 😀
And Lance, for some reason the shot of the US A330 reminds of an LAX approach photo … 😀
They only fly the one 737, the rest are ATRs. I saw that 737 everyday on my holiday in Fuerteventura, and it normally operates Gran Canaria – Fuerteventura flights.
Shouldn’t this be in the photo section?
Nice photos by the way!
Thanks for the comments guys.
Green, The 757 is a bit cramped yeah. Not flown a 320 yet but i cant wait to try them. And Im hoping to god that we are flying on a 767 to egypt in august, because then its upgrade time:)
Again thanks for the comments
Josh
Sadly, Egypt flights for FCA are covered by their 752s, not their 763s, though MON, TOM, FCA and TCX all employ their 752s on their Egypt flights.
Nice report Josh! I enjoyed FCA when I flew with them, but found the 752 we flew out on (G-OOOY) to be cramped and lacked room, unlike the A320 we flew home on (G-OOAW).
Yep, it does the MYT111/112 to Fuerteventura on a Saturday, having seen it the past two weeks, going to FUE and coming back from FUE, albeit it was a different 763 each week.
The airbridges are usually all in use with all the night stoppers, be it charter aircraft, or European flights, but the long haul early morning flights usually have to use remote stands.
I have left from a remote stand several times from terminal 2, so there are some. 201 is a remote stand, but not bus needed as the aircraft is parked right outside.
I don’t own a camera, so I couldn’t take any shots. Sorry!
What was the Orbest doing at MAN? There was a 330 there this morning (03:00) looking very similar to that one, parked up at the cargo terminal which I saw as I arrived on my TCX flight from Fuerteventura (I thought it was FCLJ but it didn’t have the extra legroom seats for long haul).
Is the Saturday TCX flight to Fuerteventura at 16:30 a 752?
