Hi John. If your going to go for this type of camera then don`t be fooled by the Digital Zoom It may well be 5x but all that will do is zoom in on the photo making it more grainy than the camera you already have. So just go for one that has the best Optical zoom you can get for your buget. take a look at a Konica Z5 it has a 12x optical zoom. But with these type of camreas you will get lag inbetween shots so if you can try and go for a DSLR it been posted on here before but it will save you money in the long run.
