It seems the mods have deleted all of Jo`s posts on this thread.TBO i am amazed by this action.Personally i found some of his remarks unnecessary but not offensive and it would be a shame if he stops posting here.

What i said is that you use the claim that PAKFA is all metal to rubbish PAKFA/FGFA and that others also use the HAL exec`s claim that the Indian FGFA unlike the PAKFA will have composites to support India`s continued participation

Ahh.. so I’ve been rubbishing the PAK FA and praising the FGFA as an uber-fighter?

    Honestly…

No..read again and this time try and think about how both sides of the FGFA debate in Indian forums would spin the HAL exec`s words to suit their agenda.

Somehow I don’t think OKB Sukhoi will be going to the Indians to make PMC tailfins for the PAK-FA:

Jo it appears you are aware of where Vnomad is coming from. For those who dont know Vnomad and the guys at IDF and BR use this ludicrous statement by a HAL exec to rubbish the PAKFA (and also note in these forums supporters supporters of the FGFA also use that same statement to praise the FGFA).So this is what the exec said
India will modify and customise the prototype Russia has developed independently.
“While the Russian version of the FGFA is all-metal, ours will have wings and empennage (vertical and horizontal stabilisers) made of composite materials,” said S. Subrahmanyan, Managing Director of MiG Complex at HAL.
“The use of composites will reduce the plane’s weight and give it lower signature. Our version will also have more advanced Indian-made avionics,” Mr. Subrahmanyan told The Hindu at the Moscow Air Show-2013. He is leading a HAL delegation to the biannual air show being held this year from August 27 to September 1.“Thanks to these improvements we will get a better and more powerful platform,” Mr. Subrahmanyan said.

Whatever this Mr Subra is smoking i want some

PAK-FA is not for export. What is for export is FGFA derived from the PAK FA which Indians and Russians are working on .What that actually means we have yet to see

Actually I remember something similar in 2010 report –

Late last year, a defence ministry delegation to Sukhoi’s flagship aircraft facility in Siberia became the first Indians to set eyes upon the next-generation fighter that is slated to form the backbone of the future Indian Air Force (IAF).

Sukhoi’s FGFA prototype, which is expected to make its first flight within weeks, is a true stealth aircraft, almost invisible to enemy radar. According to an MoD official, “It is an amazing looking aircraft. It has a Radar Cross Section (RCS) of just 0.5 square metres as compared to the Su-30MKI’s RCS of about 20 square metres.”

    http://ajaishukla.blogspot.in/2010/01/india-russia-close-to-agreement-on-next.html

That corresponds quite accurately to ‘average figure of 0.1-1 m 2’.

We don`t have the RCS of F22/35 and you think Sukhoi just give out the RCS of the T-50 like confetti. Also as Jo said it depends on what standards are used in measuring RCS

Amazing that you actually think you have the RCS of the T-50 nailed down from reading that article
