Even better: that’s the upgraded Su-27UBM2 “yellow 53” that was shown during KADEX-2010. Note the Litening targeting pod under the right air intake.
And so the MiG-29S, with the exception of a small number of SMT’s, will be the most modern MiG-29 that the RuAF will operate, ever?
ID Mi-8MTV-5 variant
Does anyone have more info about this Mi-8 version? It appears to have the same GOES optics system as the Mi-8MTKO but is based on the Mi-8MTV-5 and has additional sensors. More pictures would be nice too! 😎
I just wanted to save that picture of the Kazakh Mig-23UB but it’s gone from that website :(. Has somebody saved it ? If so, I would like to get a copy of it. What was the number ? If I remember it well it was either bort yellow 62 or bort yellow 63. Anybody wrote it down  ?
It’s yellow 62:
Georgian airforce to be abolished
It has been finally decided, Georgia is abolishing its Airforces, It is going to disperse the helicopter fleet across the land forces brigades, and possibly sell the Su-25 Ground Attack Planes abroad.

Belarus
Helos of the Belarusian State Border Comitee (GPK RB)
I just browsed through Flight International’s 2008 World Air Forces directory and found some informations I would like to check with you guys.
I am particularly fond in two helicopters:Huey and Hind in all variants.
So I found them listed in following Air Forces, which was not of my previous knowledge.Hind: Pakistan 30!
Mi-24V (Mi-35) from Pakistan.
Kazakhstan’s Mi-26 Halo.
Here’s another one and what’s even more interesting is that it appears to be the tanker variant Mi-26TZ!
I’d say border guards. Here’s an image of a “navalized” Mi-8MT of the Kazakh border guards, from the link that Banshee posted:
Dig this:eek:
Brilliant find Banshee! It appears that the Su-27’s will be upgraded in Belarus (Baranovichi) and the MiG-29’s in Russia (Rostov-na-Donu).
Does anyone knows more about this model? It looks like a much simplified Mi-24V. Not only the ATGM pylons were removed – which is quite simple – but they also removed the under-nose aiming and guiding systems.
Well there’s the MiG-29BM and the Su-27UBM1 but the modernisation seems to go at a very slow pace.
Very nice find indeed, thanks for sharing! I noticed that the Mi-24 still carry the red star so work is still “in progress”.
Is that a 1900D model?
