Hey Andrew, can’t see any of the photo’s. Am i doing something wrong. All i can see in the post is square photobucket icon’s with “This image has been moved or deleted”.
I’d love to have a look at them. I was there just over a year ago and would love bring back some memories!
Cheers!
Some classic comments in that second one.
I love the “You guys should come up here one day” comment.
And just to top all the commosion off the JetBlue 179 comment about seeing the controller at the duty free.
I haven’t stopped laughing!
Righto…. Found it. I knew keeping your IE history would one day come in handy.
Paste the Hex code into the ICAO24 address: section and it should give you all the info.
Not too sure how correct the data is but i’m sure it should be accurate.
Enjoy! 🙂
Not on my Google earth it don’t, have you got the premium version?
Rgds Cking
No my version is 4.0.2416 (beta).
It’s not the premium version.
It’s always worked on mine.
Try deleting all the OpenATC links in the Places section and try connecting to it again through the OpenATC Website and see what happens.
Great!
If you right click on Europe in the Places section and then click on properties, there’s a refresh section where you can change the refresh time.
I can’t remember how to check the A/C details. I remember that if you click on the triangle next to the flight number you can get the Hex number and then put it into a website and it’ll tell you all the details but like i said i can’t remember what the website was.
I think there is a thread somewhere with the webite. I’ll have a look for it and see what i can find.
Hey James,
On the left hand side of Google Earth there should be section called Places.
In there you need to tick the box next to OpenATC Air Traffic, Then they should all appear on your screen.
It refreshes every minute but if you right click it and go into the properties you can change the refresh rate to 1 sec.
Hope that helped! 🙂
What are the typical working hours for these pilots? I know that the hours chop and change but does anyone know what a typical schedule is like?
Wow. Some awesome pics there! Can’t wait for the rest to follow!
Nice work!
Thanks Guys,
Thats fantastic. I’ll have to wait for a nice day now!
Also would it be easier to walk to these spots or drive? I’ve got a car so is it worth driving or easier to catch the train?
I live close to Tulla but i’ve done all my pilot training at Essendon.
I guess there’s no way of getting as close over here in London to get a good spotting view as it is in Melbourne, judging by the number of replies. 🙂
Hi guys, Long time reader, First time poster!
Another piece of interesting info. If you look carefully at the shadows at the airport you’ll see that the sun seems to be somewhere in the west.
As for the shadows coming from the visible Aircraft the sun obviously looks like it’s somewhere in the east!
So there has to be a shot of the aircraft missing from the sequence and also the shadow of the first aircraft should be in front of it but looks like it’s no where to be seen!
🙂
