I finally got a clearer view, here (many pictures of the aircraft, just click right/left) : http://www.jazz707.com/LocalAirport/Saudi-Arabia-20062011/i-5p3ZFHt/A
This is very good, but note the difference in sword painting style, and some different style of Arab letters, compared with black/white photos, on which those emblems are quite clearly visible.
This is “museum” version of marking.
Here is one image of Mil Mi-8/-17 GBP-10001 of Georgian Border police (GBP) [source – http://agenda.ge/news/22737/eng], and 3 images of some French-made helicopter, marked as GBP-10004. Note the GBP insignia on helicopter on third photo. All photos of GBP-10004 were made by R. Shilov:
These three chinese hieroglyphs on fuselage of this plane mean together “21” (yes, “twenty one” number, written in hieroglyph form).
Soviet-backed Mongolian AF that consisted of Po-2, I-16, IL-10 Sturmovik and AN-2..etc during between in early 30 and 50.
Those Mongolian Sturmoviks are Il-2, not Il-10. Both Il-2’s photos show the Yak-9U fighter in the background.
Well, I got the reaction that expected – words and sermons instead of real assistance. Fortunately, not all colleagues are the same (not all yet).
The fact is that I found this magazine at Ebay long before I wrote a post here. And I was sure that there were easier ways to get what I need. But now I see, my hopes were fruitless…
And anyway, I do not take their copyright to me.
O.K. – if among dozens and dozens thousand of Forum members none are able to help – and, most importantly, no one wants to help – I shall have to buy those pages from that Ebay seller.
To buy whole magazine for two pages ? This is irrational.
Really would like to see this film come to light. If it involves a Rapide crop spraying in East Africa, it is almost certainly VP-KHF flown by Ted Fresson who, of course, had founded Highland Airways before the War…… The a/c crashed at Garissa in January 1955 with the loss of one life.
The film could well have been one called ‘The Rival World’ (produced by The Shell film unit), I cannot see it online anyway though.
Do not panic, men !
I have found this film. Besides the English “The Rival World” title it have the Dutch title “Strijd zonder einde” or Spanish title “La lucha sin fin” (both titles could be translated as “Endless struggle”); and, possibly, many other titles in other languages.
This is excellent colour film by Bert Haanstra, made in 1955.
There are nice views of DH Rapide (the registration is unseen though) on the ground and in the flight during the spraying operation.
Also we can see excellent shots of red-white Anson VP-KHS during the take-off, flight, spraying; one DC-3 of East African Airways; and, finally, the flight of dark blue-white Anson VP-KJK !
See the thumbnails of film frames below.
This film gives unique possibility to see early Kenyan aircraft in use and at work – and see them IN COLOUR !
I feel sure, this find will be very good gift to Mr Mike [Planemike] – well-known expert in whole early Kenyan aviation area; and to all fans of World’s small aviations.
Here is the link to this unique film. The narrator says in Dutch:
Not always the case: I think Meteors started as I, II, III & IV but commenced at the trainer with T.7, F.8 etc. Roman numerals are OK for small numbers.
Also note: if the versions of engines, planes, tanks, guns and other weapons, produced or designed before and during the WW2, were designated with Roman numerals, then postwar British designations for all armament versions were adopted with Arabic numerals.
Hallo, no idea what I am doing, but, here may be the photo set of Anson VP-KJK on a crop spraying job.

Thank You very much, Uncle Al !
Sadly, those images are too small in size…

Yes.
Non-military aircraft, but “rare” country:
Manchurian Bucker Bu-131B “Jungmann”, registered as M-82, of “Manchu Air Transport Company”:

The title on this card mistakenly says about “Japanese Pilots”. But who knows…
