Can anyone trump that? Pun intended!
Looks French to me. Can the language of the signs be read? There’s a round one which could be Defense de Fumeur
Better in Force10 from Navarone!
My memory is misty but it may well have been John I recall at the awards dinner at PFA Rallys sketching the day’s events on the white linen table cloths.

Presumably the suspension would only take effect if the Typhoons or SAMs failed to do their jobs?
do you know wHich one it is ?
I have only ever seen three of the beasts one at Flint Technical Colledge,One in the scrap yard in Clayton and one in I cant remember the museum. It does not seem to resemble any of them?.The One at Flint as I recall was the Nev Duke world record holder,I think the one at Clayton also had a claim to fame and I think the third was just a survivor.
If you went to Clayton, you’d have seen two. One by the gate and one to the right as you entered the main yard. See the photos here http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=36444&page=22 and on the following page
Resmorah,
It’s a bit much to say we should have voted to stop all the EU nonsense! I personally would prefer a centralised EU government BUT I would hope they would be open enough to encompass all groups and interests.
I would guess that when the committee were forming they didn’t have anyone championing the cause of the minorities.
Your quote “All non-operational airframes are, by Euro decree, only to be viewed as museum exhibits” though suggests that those operational from Old Warden, Duxford, Le Ferte etc are not museum exhibits so everything in the garden is sort of rosy.
If you can pin the Manch movement down to Month and year I’m sure someone could look it up in ‘Winged Words’.
I don’t think there were any Caravelles operating from Spain that late but a number of French operators, including the Air Force, still had them and possibly also Transwede.
Has to be a Bucc, doesn’t it?
Apart from the overall size, which could be confusing if it was seen in the air, could it have been the new Sentinel R1?

Wasn’t the longest surviving Q6 G-AFFD which was kept for some time on the Isle of Man?

My initial thoughts were of an early Erco Aircoupe or Ercoupe…The canopy is wrong but the engine and tail unit looks right. Erco did do a prototype without bubble canopy but I can’t find a picture of it.
Any idea where or when the photo was taken?

Slightly related to this I was reading a report on a mission to locate the Ark Royal in the Mediterranean. Given that the ship has been underwater for something like 60 years it was surprising to see an aircraft alongside the ship, and looking fairly complete. Is the Med not as corrosive as the channel?

Perhaps due to the fact that ferries and internal flights in Greece have been closed down for a few days due to the weather so now there’s more people, too many for a 737, coming home?

The Dakota was indeed at Manchester Ringway and was pictured in 74 or 75. I recall nipping under the fence and having a nosey inside.
Nowadays I think..what if the fire brigade had done an exercise whilst we were inside? Toast I think! The things you did when you were younger!
Someone, a few months ago, was asking about the aircraft at Toussus. The only photo I have was a poor one which has been unprofessionally zoomed and lightened by myself to create…
It was pictured in ’78 I think.
