    I will have the serials and codes at home. Will check later. Aas far as I remember, there were T6s both at Etampes and LFA. Although we visited LFA later the same day I didn’t get up to the woods. This was in ’77.

    Following the tenuous thread from Provosts at Clayton Vale to Barton…..Whatever happened to XF914 that sat at Barton for a year or two? I heard it went to the US.
    There is a link between that aircraft and Clayton Vale as well!

    Were there aircraft in the buildings in its later days?
    I went in several times in the mid 70s and never ventured into the buildings, just clambered over and in some of the aircraft.
    What did I miss?!?!

    You are quite right that if I keel over today she’d get nothing more than a paid off mortgage.

    Unfortunately, she thinks I’m more likely to end up in a pile close to the runway than under a car on a road.

    What we’re (she’s) looking for is a payment to cover the next 20 years of salary if I’m not here to earn it (as well as having the mortgage paid off!!)

    Another option is to give her a flying lesson. The draw back is that i think she’ll be hooked and we can’t afford for us both to fly!
