Mossi engine
Hi
This engine was last seen flying south down shepton mallet A37 south, on the fosse way to Southwood and ended up in someones garden with other prized relics.
She is a little broken but much cherished among the daffs n roses
The same could be said for the a roman villa, bronze age burials, or a hoard of coins thats been there hundreds and in some cases thousands so why dig those when you know where they are once you located them
Well if they showed the hole footage of the recovery which would have been very impressive ime sure you would have understood that not was only was you working withing a bath of fuel, but at a depth of 15ft before you hit solid tangled wreckage.
The time team excavated a spitfire in france over 3 days and had to take our approach in the end which seems the only way
big trowel needed here!!
Well thanks for that update on your view of the digging world, if you boys were to recover this aircraft we would never get to see it with the speed you work at. Well its not like digging up a roman pot is it that is fragile and unbroken!!! this would have hit the ground at 450mph
Treasure hunters thats a good one, think you better pick the treasure hunter detector book if you want to view a few of those. All these sites are now recorded and if you should know and a report has to be complied to be returned to the local SMR
back to the main topic
Any way enough off that back to the programme who downed douglas bader, hope you all enjoy the documentary because ime sure it will be well worth watching

AT LEAST SOMEONE THANKS THE RECOVERY TEAM 4 THERE EFFORTS!!
THANKS FOR THAT IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE EFFORTS OF THE RECOVERY TEAM YOU VIEWERS WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO SEE, SHAME I GOT NOTHING TO LOOK AT
TALLY HO
spitfire project
Well thanks for your update peter just seems strange how I was not told we was off project hunting, its a bit like fishing in a river you know fish are there but the size is unknown but would you sit on the bank all day and when you hook wopper one hand the rod over !!!! i think not
With regards to the programme i was happy to be one of the chosen few at the time but the as the events that unfolded after the recovery after the mk9 spitfire the meaning of loyalty and honisty went out of the window. Yes as you say the wreck was funded by the Tv and they requested that it may be needed for further filming and handing over of the flying helmet to which we was told “We will take it all away and clean it off for filming and then you can see the wreck and have a few bits” for which we was all happy given the fact that the wreck was located after 2 full days detecting many large fields by 6/7 of the chosen few
Also on a brighter note if you call doing well by getting board and lodge and food u best fend some workers my way as if that all i have to pay i would be a millionare and could afford to buy such a wreck, we was there to help for free!! and recover some small historic items to treasure and not to sell
Thanks for the invite by the way just shame its up ended up like this because you cannot put a price on your mates
