one 20 KVA APU with 115V-400 hz AC, 230V-50 hz AC and 28 DC supplies.was developed by ADA i think it is this APU which is installed in Tejas
apu for the avionics
You compare the X-35 with the choosen TD?
Comparing a “4th generation” fighter with a “5th generation” fighter?!
To official roll-out of the TD November 17th 1995.
The first flight was 2001, which was not even the real PV1 prototyp, which had its first flight in 2003. Except two decades late compared to a similar Gripen nothing wrong with that and the strange comparison with F-35 is it?!
To be serious. To built-up the indigenous technology capabilities the price is the least important part, before loosing time to stay as close as possible to the state of art at first. Even than it is a difficult task without sufficiant external help at first.
i am out of my mind to compare F-35 with Tejas , i am just saying that F-35 is still in test flight phase and only be inducted in 2011 onwards so does it makes the project a failure just because it has not been inducted ?? ,Tejas also has a schedule to be inducted in 2010 onwards ,are we in 2010 already ??
there is a schedule for which Tejas induction is planned out ,Tejas cannot be called as a failed project just because it has not been inducted ,their is a schedule for that and first 20 Tejas will be inducted only in 2010-11 and orders for more 40 jets have been placed which my friend Scooter fails to mention by the way this news is from framed Flight International magazine, while JSF TD had flown in 2000 and still there is no induction by USAF and Tejas TD had flown in 2001 and Tejas production model in 2003 so is JSF a failure ???
India to induct two squadrons Tejas Light Combat Aircraft from 2010
Coldfire2005
From the simulator link posted by rayrubik
thats needs to be done out side the dome by a separate engineer so young pilots can be put into different situation
RTS looks very good but why a 17 inch TFT monitor side of the cockpit ? whole purpose of RTS is to provide experience of real time flying
Thanks for the pics. Does India have any intention of a follow on order?
Current order is of 3 Phalcon systems while Iaf is interested in 3 more Phalcon systems in future while Drdo will work on Home Grown Awacs integrated on Embraer EMB-145 aircraft will take to air by 2009 or 2010
India working on PAC-3 with us is BS ,but cannot deny if this involves any space based missile-shield ,
AGNI-III with reduced Payload can reach 4500Km with ease ,AGNI-III+ will be bring a great addition to the Agni Team
Negative ,but sure had some 2 dozen Mig-21 ,but after war had less then 10
France Offers to supply 40 Rafale Fighters to IAF
already lost the MMRCA ?? 😮
similarly ADA”S LEAD IN FIGHTER based on Tejas could have been much better choice ,ADA at given a time frame of three years if the go a head was given to the program for its first flight it could have been sharing 80 % of the spares with Tejas could have befitted the whole program
