Yep, rafale would have been a much better buy, but you would probably have to wash your hands of groshky …
As they are in limited numbers, there might still be scope for rafale purchase in the future, two more carriers coming up. By then dassault will get its act together and it rafale will see the f3 tranche ready.
WOW!
Very nice!
Whats the mig firing ?
Why would you use a surface scan radar for ASW work ? unless its both a ASW and ASuW capable helictoper and mostly used for targetting information for missiles like brahmos etc..

Price to keep the assembly line open..
Jaguar, full throttle, 50 feet of the deck.
The delta looks like what a twin engined LCA would have looked like if that had been designed. the bottom view..

next version will have 6-8 tons payload. This is intermediate helicopter between Mi-8 and Mi-26, close to old Mi-6.
Whats changing ? Engines ?
Why would you make a prototype of an intermediary design ?
Do we have more details on range and payload etc ? The second line drawing image posted by portugal looks really nice..
Looks nice.. I think India should offer joint venture for heavy end of the spectrum. mi-38/ALH/single engined ALH.
They should make a ASW version of this and replace the sea king with this.
Any pics of SURA HMS ? the one on bison mig-21 upgrade ?
