Dunblane, Hungerford, the camp in Norway and the Swedish McDonalds are proof that the nuts will find guns if they want to.
And every country has it’s fair share of nuts…even your perfect country produced the Moors Murderers and the Wests.
I guess there’s a difference between those nuts planning an attack (as seems to be the case here) and those who just “flip,” but in either case by having so many guns in circulation you surely make it so much easier for them to get hold of a weapon and thus increase the chances of it happening. More guns surely means more gun usage. Been arguing this point for years but have yet to see a convincing argument against. Ditto the seemingly obvious correllation between America’s high percentage of gun ownership and it’s appalling reputation for this kind of incident. The incidents you quote are (Thank God) rare events elsewhere, but it seems barely a month goes by without news of yet another gun massacre somewhere in the States. I’m not anti-American by any means, but I really think the country as a whole is in denial over all this.

Still he has to face his employers who I hope and pray dismiss him from the service without a golden handshake!
Don’t hold your breath, Paul. Odds-on it will be the old retirement on health grounds and a fat pension.

Reminds me of George Dubya Bush, all swagger and bravado as he exited that S-3 at the end of the Gulf War, and the newspapers all saying how he personally flew a “fighter” onto the deck of a carrier.
Great photos. I have a special fondness for LCY, so thanks for sharing.
I like that. Very inventive and imaginative.
Many thanks, PPP. Will take a look.

Just to say thanks for all the advice folks, and to let you know I’m doing this on my new Zoostorm, er G350? Much faster than my old one, but still finding my way around Windows 7 (as opposed to XP) Bit disappointed that you can’t seem to download YouTube videos.

Just finished “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath, and now on “Hallelujah!” a biography of Leonard Cohen.

Pig ignorant pikeys zooming down the crowded pavement even when the road is nearly empty, people similarly glued to their mobiles and expecting other people to get out of their way because what they’re doing is, like, soooo important, people just dropping cans and bottles without even trying to look for a bin. Oh yes, and bloody “Gavin from Autoglass” Sick of hearing him.
