Wot, no one going to say they only watched in the hope of seeing the players swap shirts after the game? 😀
No… it is NOT.
The USAF/USN already has a fleet of Hawker Beechcraft T-6A trainers… this is to provide armed AT-6Bs (note the “A for Attack” prefix) or EMB-314 Light Air Support aircraft (a “close-in” “light-strike” bird) ( just like the thread title says… imagine that!).
I think he meant “Is it to train aircrew for ground attack?”
More here on the Tiger Force inflight refuelling plans-
It does seem a little short sighted to not have the last flight at the forthcoming airshow, to be fair.
Cheers,

Exactly. Is it really too much to ask that they just postpone it for a few days?
I didn’t realise until recently that the Tiger Force was intended to use inflight refuelling. Was it really viable in 1945, ie was it sufficiently developed?
Ditto Glockenspiel: “I have a Glockenspiel growth on my right leg.”

would like to know more about the HP.66 Hastings B.1 design though? Second time it has been mentioned here lately.

Got a feeling the wife will be wearing a new pair of earrings soon… 🙂
Exactly, CD. In 7 years and more than 900 transactions this is only the second time it’s happened to me. Also discussing this on Ebay’s own forum, and the general concensus is that Ebay can and probably will make me give a refund. Re claiming at the Post Office, I thought that was only for Recorded, Registered, etc (I sent it 2nd class) Hopefully not, but how do you prove what the item was worth; show the actual Ebay transaction or something? Thanks for any advice or help.

Ebay, for the way they’ve thrown small sellers to the wolves. Got a buyer claiming “Item Not Received” and despite my having proof of posting and the buyer having made the same INR claim a preposterous 15 times in the last year, what is Ebay’s likely response? Why, make me give a refund and accept the negative feedback of course.
