Well done again, John.

Have you got something for us?
Gorn a bit quiet here, so anyone fancy a crack at this one?

They did look a bit past their best though.
Yes, the C-47 in that first picture looks “distressed” in more ways than one. 😀
Does this help?
Come on Zoot old chap; don’t keep us in suspenders. What is it?
Not sure, but I think Thai have one of the best seat pitches (37″ ?) in steerage class, but their IFE on 747’s is pretty abysmal with nothing more than the old screens above the aisles and on bulkheads. Great service, though.
Well done, Dan. Always had a soft spot for the old “Tweet” and I’d love one of these. You have control.
My little chap is barely talking yet, but whenever he sees a plane on telly he will look at us, spread out his hand like a plane, and try to make a kind of jet noise. The other day he went up to a shelf full of old VHS videos and pulled out the only aviation one, presumably because there was a Red Arrows Hawk on the spine. If Mrs C wants to distract him at meal times she’ll often put one of my DVD’s on for him; for some reason the one about Zurich airport is his favourite. 😀
Something slightly more modern. Even if you don’t know it, I think you can work it out-

Is it a SAAB 18B? You lot are going to get me shot, wasting so much time at work on this. Who’s idea was it anyway? Ah yes, Joglo! :diablo:
Can’t imagine Zoot posting if it was just another typo or journalist’s mistake. Must be something disproving the UFO claim. Is it something the B-57 has jetisoned or has something come adrift?
Surely a ramp and a ski jump are two entirely different things ??Ken
I used the term loosely of course, just as “Bloody Great Ramp” was obviously an exaggeration. Wellum’s book goes on; “It was put there to throw the old biplanes into the air on takeoff and slow them down on landing before the days of arrester wires” The point I was trying to make was that I didn’t realise there were anything but completely flat decks before the days of the Harrier.
Not a pressurization testbed, JB. Try to think where you’ve seen that vertical tail before. 😉
Breguet 941? Four engined French turboprop, and could you have mistaken Breguet for BP? Then again, much smaller than a Britannia and not really an airliner.
No takers? OK, a clue; the shape of the fin & rudder might give a pointer to the manufacturer.
