Thought I’d bump this thread up to the top one more time as I’m having no joy.
In addition to Hawker Drawings B.76323 and B.76318, I’m also looking for the drawing for Former #2 (windscreen hoop) C.97888. These drawings are to be used for the static restoration of a CCF-made Hurricane Mk XII. I have other drawings from which to trade.
Cheers,
Ron
Ross,
By any chance would you have the Hawker drawings for the instrument panel support? This would be the horizontal tube and the hoop that is former #1?
Thanks,
Ron
Perfect. My drawings now completely readable. And thank you for explaining the difference between the Types!
R
One last question about the drawing….
The material is 16 G Light Alloy. What is the specification in the next box?
Cheers,
Ron
Wow! That’s a huge help Ross. Thank you so much.
What gauge of material are you using for the labels? And is it black anodized alloy?
Cheers,
Ron
Received a very nice response from Brooklands but they do not have the drawings that I’m looking for. So I’m still searching for B.76323 and B.76318 for the Hawker Hurricane.
Thank you
Thank you for this suggestion. I’ve never had much luck with museums but I’ll ask and keep my fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Ron
The lighting gels work great. This restoration is going much easier than I thought.
Thank you 🙂
That would be great. Let me see if I can get more pictures taken from RCAF 5447.
Great pictures, Tony. I’ve learned something more about the C joint from them. I did not realise that more than former #1 attaches to this piece. Thanks for sharing.
Ron
Thank you Tony. I very much appreciate the time you’ve taken to source the name. Yes, a photo would be great too.
Cheers,
Ron
Thank you Tony. I’ll source a copy of the parts manual.
Ron
Surely someone must know the name Hawker Aircraft gave to this part?????
Thx
