For hi-fi in the UK you cannot beat the Richer Sounds ‘Supercare’ extended warranty. If you do not claim on it you just hand the paperwork in at the end of the warranty period an they give you your money back! For example it costs £19.99 for a warranty on a £80+ DVD player. You can also take the machine in and they will service it for you as often as you want in the warranty period. This is really just an internal dusting but it is free.

BTW, no – I do not work for this company, I am just a customer.

I would not take out any other kind of warranty though.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I believe the WIX comment you are referring to (which was under the Planes of Fame PR XIX thread) was actually concerning the former David Price Spit.IX. Apparently this aircraft was sold (to where I do not know) to help fund the museum contruction projects at TAM, in Brazil.

    Cheers,
    Richard

No -its quite specifically the Mk 19 being discussed.

The contra-Spit, is it the one having been gifted to the museum by the king of Thailand/Siam?

    Thats the one.

Well, you got the gist of what I meant – a new-build Spit (with numerous non-standard mods) with an “identity” attached to it, like the two-seater job being built in Florida (MH367?)

Now that really will wind Mark 12 up 😀

The PoF website shows the Spitfire substituted by another a/c in its intended Chino display slot on 8/1/05 so maybe….

Anyone coming to this event please check the TFC website for suggested types of clothing & footware (as there will be close access to oily aeroplanes )!

Dave Mackay (current Shuttleworth pilot) also has hours on G-HUNN btw. Brian Smith has time on G-BOML.

So what has happened to Dave Southwood?, he was way up on 109 hours untill the demise of Black 6, and a jolly nice bloke to boot at that.

You will find him flying TFC aircraft from time to time, certainly at Flying Legends.

No – the Seafire is the Mk XV PR503 owned by Wally Fisk.

Good question, not completely sure of the legally correct answer but on her last trip to Germany (was it earlier this year Yak11Fan?) with ‘Big Beautiful Doll’ the kill markings were not covered up so maybe she just ‘got away with it’!

great pics. anymore from brieghton. (missing the spit already) is it the brieghton spit . looks like it but its flying with its tail wheel down.

Yes of course it is – when it was at Breighton it flew with the wheel locked down.
