    Thanks, the 350D seems a good choice for the money. One n00b question – how do you set the shutter speed on a D-SLR? On the camera or lens? 😮 – Like if I had a 75-300mm lens I’d be wanting to set the shutter speed for moving aircraft at 1/300 of a second yeah? Also what’s this about Image stabilisation? is it worth the extra money or would a fast shutter speed do?

    Either open a bicycle shop, or start a buisiness fermenting alcohol based fuels. The latter are actually quite a good idea, they used alcohol fuel vehicles in Brazil for years apparently.

    Ya the rum is pretty damn strong out there, same with Jamacia I think.

    I think I’d probably go and hide somewhere…nah, I’d invest in a field full of one of them plants that provide *alternative* oils..after all, no oil = no flying aircraft.

    Ah I remember seeing it on the local news now – G-AWET. Only thing is, I could have sworn it was yellow – in some photos of it on the net it is.

    Thank you mate, that’s great 🙂 – I’ll go and do a good bit of research into that. The only reason that I was specifically looking at the Canon range is that I know their cameras all are of excellent quality and are good feature wise, however it does pay to shop around. I’ll have a better look at Nikon and Olympus. What about Kodak?

    I attended – will post my photos once I’ve got a new card reader for my SD card 🙂 – Nice shots of the Pembroke and F-86A Sabre you’ve got there :)..I can’t wait for my new camera 😀
