If it is in a hangar it will be in an Ameican hangar here in the states. I dont think the US military has tested and study this aircraft with great detail unlike other USSR types.

Up into now I did not realize how much influence the Pakistanis have over the Saudis. If the above statement is true then what choice do the Saudi goverment have over buying new combat aircraftt? Can a mature government rely on other people’s opinion regarding the safeguard of their country? I cant imagine a government with lots of money and many connections cannot train a sufficent an idegenous force. I find that hard to understand because Saudi Arabia does not have the pressure to fend off its major enemy(Iraq) which is nonexistent. If there are Pakistani F-15 pilots, why didn’t we hear from them in the Persian Gulf War? Anyways, without leaving the main focus of this thread, the Rafale does have a higher chance of being brought into Saudi service than the Typhoon but the question is when? and how many?

Let’s assume that the French are the only viable military combat aicraft supplier to the Saudi kingdom. Will the Saudis be militarily dependant to the French government for the next combat aircraft? Is there any reason why the Saudi do not want to buy Russsian or China origin of combat aircraft. Is it political reason? It cannot be money issues because of the current premium price of oil…right? If the Saudis go for a non Western type, will they have the same logistical crisis the Egyptian had in the late 70’s and 80’s with Russian and western combat aircraft? What are your toughts?

Great pictures….keep them coming. Does anyone know the specs of these vessels? As to the guns……thats a 76mm Oto Melara and in the back I would guess it’s a 35mm Millenium gun CIWS.

Hey Erez, if the Israeli airforce opts for this aircraft and converts it to military/combat aircraft what weapons would it be able to carry? What markets would Israel concentrate on…Singapore…Mexico? Who?

Que’ubo cabrones. I think we need to explain the defence role of the Meixcan air force. Should its priority be to protect the capital, to protect its borders, or to engage illegal flights(drug runners). I am from Sinaloa and I have a family in the Mexican air forcea and army. Their opinion regarding the main agenda for the MAF is to train train train pilots. While they are training they patrol the jungles for illegal crops. Although u dont need an fast jet to survey landscapes but need one to catch and shoot down a drug plane. When was the first time and the last time the Mexican gov has shot an illegal drug plane? I have heard of drug lord shooting down helicopters and military cessnas. As a matter a fact, my wife’s cousin was shot in Michoacan while on patrol and his accident didn’t how up in Airforcesmontlhy’s accident reports. There is some issues that are very rarely brought up in public view. the Meican government needs to step to the batting plate and it needs outside sources to help them.
