EE , the F-35 is not an Interceptor . That ‘s my point .
Cheers .
but it’s only point .2 Mach slower than a clean Rafale. Load the Rafale up and they’re both similar in top end speed.
The RAF never showed interest in the F-22.
Not officially no. Just like I said.
Possible Rafale MLU , with new stealthy air intakes , CFTs , comformal arrays , conformal weapon pods :
That probe, that nasty nasty probe.
But probe aside that Rafale, whilst pretty as it is, is still not going to be anywhere near stealthy as the F-35. Not to mentiot as modern and still no EODAS. And once you’ve done all that it’s still just as pricey if not more so. All in all not too good. It is faster though.
So no you don’t sell such a plane to other countries with much more liberal policies toward freedom of expression that could actually let everyone know whitout a doubt how bad your product is…
Funny that but I was under the impression the US has some of the most liberal free speech rights on the planet. But anyway, i’d say it was a huge mistake not to flog the F-22 whilst they had the chance (RAF, JASDF and RAAF) but it wasn’t not sold to them for fear they ‘might find out’ how poor it is but rather it wasn’t sold for security reasons. I know Air Force personnel of one of those countries I listed wanted it (unofficially of course) before it actually entered production.
Well this thread isn’t about the Typhoon so… who care?
You cared enough to bring it into the debate so I guess you care, or at least did care.
Can we please drop the nonsensical religious/political rantings?
Assuming the reason why of the F-35 is to go against modern opponent equiped with Russian or Chinese stealth fighters (or any other 4.5+ gen with strong ECM capabilities), then I doubt BVR will last very long, but I guess you’re right I should rephrase that part… Will do later when I find something nicer to say :diablo:
Yet none of the partner nations and customer nations are questioning its capablity. Sure they all question when the hell its going to arrive but certainly not what it will be capable of when it does. Doesn’t that tell you something? Surely if it were as bad as you claim then it would have been ditched long ago by many nations. Unless of course it’s all a conspiracy?
You conveniently ignored that the F-22 is also 80s/90s tech, the same as Typhoon and Rafale, however the former is so costly and its achitecture so complex and old that to date the USAF has been almost incapable to keep it up to date.
To be fair the very same thing could be said of the Typhoon. Costly, limited capabilites, old and complex achitecture and the necessary updates require no small amount of time and money.
If these were true then he would have used chemical weapons already.
Looks like he may well have already done just that

‘victims’ symptoms were “consistent with poisonous gas inhalation,” including temporary blindness, numb joints, difficulty breathing and temporary paralysis’
They would have a bit of my sympathy if they at least tried some daring unexpected counter-action.. But frankly, does anyone believe that? 🙂
Yeah they’d be well within their rights to take ation. It’s just a pity he’s already let the cat out of the bag. Afterall its not much of a secret suprise counter attack when you go and tell the press about it beforehand.
Again, nope. Different viewpoints, fine. Deliberate disregard of history and context, not fine. I have another one for you if you want it.
Consiering your rude and rather unpleasant attitude toward posters who you do not agree with i’m inclined to think that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
Time to break out the popcorn
Syria may respond to Israeli air strike, says ambassador
Syria’s ambassador to Lebanon has said Damascus has the option to respond to what it says was an Israeli air strike on a research centre on the outskirts of the Syrian capital on Wednesday.
Syria could take “a surprise decision to respond to the aggression of the Israeli warplanes”, Ali Abdul Karim Ali was quoted as telling a Hezbollah-run news website.
“Syria is engaged in defending its sovereignty and its land,” he said, without spelling out what the response might entail.

What other alternatives were there to take out the runways in Desert Storm?
Durandal?
Well someones got rather touchy on the M1 and F-16 subject – you wouldn’t happen to be one of those critics who was so dead wrong about them would you? And dunce cap pictures because you have adifferent point of view to the poster, very mature!
In this case , it is the Right of Hezbollah (Palestine) to legaly fire rockets at Israel .
Cheers .
No it is not because they are fired blind with no targeting and there purpose is not a military one but instead is one aimed at simply scaring the populace, it’s actually what we used to call terrorism before PC folks decided that wasn’t fair anymore. At the end of the day there is a huge difference between the motivations behind each sides attacks.
