The last shot is a DA42, and this particular one belongs to Diamond Aircraft Ltd. See http://www.diamondair.com/aircraft.php for some lovely internal shots of it.
Perhaps the prospect of a fire in the hold might have had something to do with it? 🙂
I always find the trick (more often than not!) is to head round to the fence near the hotels after 1500 when they switch runways…I cant remember the last time I was spotting at LHR and they weren’t using this runway for TOs…. Must be luck! LOL..
This is going to be some beast when it takes to the air I imagine…that upper section looks pretty bulky…
I thought as much hotelwise….
did you not nip down to the fence ? You can get shots like these(if you like close ups) from there..

You never get moved from the Visitors Centre (closing down soon too!), as you are miles away from any aircraft! LOL! IMHO that is one of the worst spots at LHR..
A guide by Danny Hill can be found here (area 2 is closed and not accessible tho) – http://www.plane-mad.com/guide_view.php?guide=lhr
And the soopa doopa Spotters Wiki here – http://www.spotterswiki.com/index.php?title=London_Heathrow_Airport_%28LHR/EGLL%29
So which hotel were you in Vrocking?
Arnnie – just whack the PrtScn key and then open up paint or something and whack it in via the Paste function (CTRL+V) – then save em and pass em on….
Deano – nice to see you!! You ok mate?
Load up FS, select settings, and take some shots of the various screens in there for Display, Aircraft, etc. etc.
Something is deffo wrong there Arnie…..
did you get the drivers from nvidia.com? any chance you can grab some screenshots of your FS config and mail em over to me so I can have a look?
Cheers
In fact you can use 2 different cards – lets say an Nvidia 6800 in the AGP slot and an nvidia 5200 in a PCI slot – this way you can setup a basic multimonitor system….
if this is what you are interested in then have a peek at … http://www.maxivista.com or http://www.realtimesoft.com/
If anything, it is sometimes interesting to see how dirty the APUs make the rear of some of these aircraft – the Ryanair being a case in point…
Love that 1st 744……sweet as!
Taa-Raa!!! Southend….
Arnie321 – you can only do this if one of your cards is PCI – there is also the option of a mobo with 2 AGP slots, but these are pretty rare.. Or perhaps two PCI-E cards running in the same rig MIGHT work if not in SLI mode….
