Regarding the Hawk 75 TFC posted this on there facebook page: “Hawk had a minor electrical issue that resulted in smoke. Pilot and Emergency services followed standard operating procedure, Pilot was not Stephen (as reported elsewhere) but Dave Southwood – all looked more dramatic than it was !”

And there are no issues with either p40’s following the ‘F’s’ landing incident

BBMF are using Hurricane PZ865, Spitfire PS915 and Lancaster PA474 for the display tomorrow if anyone is interested as they are currently at Cambridge airport.

I think I saw what looked and sounded like a Spitfire or Hurricane flying over Southend/ Benfleet at around 12:50 this afternoon. Can anyone confirm this?

I would think that it was G-RNHF returning to RNAS Yeovilton.

The closest airfield with a Spitfire MK.I based is Biggin Hill so I would imaging it it X4650.
