Brendans Spitfire is looking great! For more information check

Airshow debut will probably be at Blenheims’ Classic Fighters ‘.
In Malcolm Lairds Ventura Publications book ‘D-Day To Victory’, He illustrates in a colour plate that the serial to the Spitfire XVI is TB625. To further complicate matters.
Also the the individual code letter ‘V’ is painted in white ,and not the same colour ast the ‘OU’ . The Wigram guy’s missed that one too.

Thanks for the replies!
A bit saddened to hear that Victory Books might be no more.
Thanks .
Well done to Peter if he has bought the Spitfire.
Still probable that the aircraft may still end up in N.Z for a little time though.
Mark and now Ray , sorely missed down here in N.Z . Went to the memorial service at the OFMC NZ hanger on easter Friday before the warbirds Over Wanaka 06 airshow. Keith Skilling and Sarah spoke ,amongst others.
Stu Goldspick flew TB863 over the hanger at the conclusion. Aviation does not seem to be the same .

Great video clips .Looking forward to the release date!!
Cracking trailer there Sconnor99. Cant wait for the DVD. Does the Spitfire story have any additional footage of the OFMC or of the Hannas at all?
Also any ideas what causes the turbine whine sound as they pass the camera in the opening scene or as they take off?

During the time these shots were taken was Ray Hanna the main pilot or were there some others.I am guessinthat Ray is the pilot in these shots.Quite a transformation in markings from a particular shot of MH434 at Booker 1970.
( the one of Ray taxying MH434 with Mark in the Cockpit)
Here is a link for Ray Hanna obituary in The Times

The pilot of the POF F6F was Art Vance .He owned A P-51 in Santa Rosa named Speedball Alice. He flew as a saftey pilot at the Reno air races and did some flying at UK airshows I believe.
I met him in 1998 at Santa Rosa at his hanger where he had just repainted his P-51 in its present colours.A Real Nice guy to talk to. I cant believe it.

Restoring a P-61 would be quite a feat!! Other TFC progects like the Sea Fury or the Glad.. any news on their progress?

Any ideas on the identity of the TF-51? Swiss Mustangs? It seems that Bob Pond has been selling a few of his aircraft recently.
