Thank you for your amswers. If the opening allows air to the compressor is this for the pneumatics systems? I would have thought this would have been an accessory off the engine (ie engine driven).
The head armour triangle. When was this added to the Spitfire in addition to the pilot armour plating? Also ,was this also a normal addition to a PR XI ( has PL965 arrmour plating?)

Another guess ,Spitfire NH238
Are there any personnal markings to go on the aircraft that are part of the scheme that anyone knows of?
B.P OIL D100 ,quantity 1 quart!
My guess :

Nice paint job on the HAC Hurricane. The codes look a bit slim though.Perhaps a nice change would be Ginger laceys a/c or Pete Brothers Blue Peter… just an idea.
Hi Dave,

Very nice Mark V!!! Lucky bugger .
Hope you enjoyed the Wanaka airshow. I look forward to the other pic’s you have .
Fantastic!
Some more news on the OFMC P-40.
At the moment the fuselage fuel tank behind the pilot has been removed, new frames made and a second seat is being installed. All work is being done a Pioneer Aero in N.Z.
Would be nice to go for a ride!!
One gentleman from the U.K was in the Bristol during the Sunday display…got the comment from him that the DR.1 can pretty close. He has the time of his life.(His name might have been Chris I think) . A Fantastic display.
The Bristol was repaired within two hours or so.Just replacing one or two components on the skids attachment point.
But I must say it took about 5 of us to bring it from in the middle to the crowd line. Then along the crowd line ,around the corner and back to the Alpine Fighter Collection hanger. This I estimate was about 1 kilometer or so !!.
Hope you liked the airshow Mark V. Glad to have you down here.!!
