re “the other Bucc”

544 is next on the list, basically 894 took priority so that we had a runner.
All the work carried out on 894 over the past 12 months has stood us all in good sted to put what we learnt getting 894 running to good use on 544. We know what to look for now.
Though the aircraft differ quite a lot as 544 was withdrawn from squadron use a long time before the withdrawel of 894 and the rest of the fleet and as such hasnt recieved all the MOD’s 894 has. The basics are the pretty much the same though.

Plans are already afoot for this year to finish connecting the wings back up, delayed due to the weather/winds over the past few months running up to christmas. And unfortunatly a missing piece of hydraulic pipe from the wing fold system.

So if anybody has any wing fold bits or knows someone who can make it let us know please.

A lot of time has been spent after her move checking whats missing and recovering bits from other not so fortunate Bucc’s. Most of the work done on her has been to clean her up, keep her as she was on arrival if not better and start the prep work for the lists of other jobs. Just getting a panel off after all this time can take half a day.

and optimistically we have purchased an lp starter this week for 544!
Hopefull one day 544 will be a runner aswell that is certainly the plan.

There are still odd bits of her around at brunty and she has donated a lot of parts to the other hunter there. XL565 ?

I got it today and am not surprisingly lacking in the frame rates department. it set itself up to target 17fps but only manages about 10 at most. all the sliders are way over on the left.

not worried as it was a birthday present and the new pc comes at christmas. by which time the fs community should of started sorting out patches for exixting addons.

my graphics card is a geforce 5700le 128mb, no slouch when it comes to fs 9 but hey, new a new one was required to go with fsx.

I am not aware of any addons that allow passangers to board.

I do know of fspassangers which is a payware addon that simulates the carrying of passengers.

Do a search for it.

I fly for UPSVAC and regularly fly across the pond once a week if i can EGNX-KPHL or KEWR but longest flights ever are EGNX-PANC 12.25mins and EDDK-VHHH. 11.35mins.
East Midlands is a growing new hub for UPSVAC and as such most main fleet route rotations use a short flight to Cologne’s hub first.
The long hauls i save for days off and usually do them online though my average flight distance is about 2hrs.

The mystery visitor could be a formation of Thunder city jets mass fly past followed by individual items in pairs , two buccs two lightnings and then the hunters.
