Excellent shots as ever. BA seem to be using the Dash 8 even more to EDI and GLA now, with the ERJs going on to other things from MAN. Any idea which one that is in your pic?
Cheers for all the comments peeps. The Dash today was G-BRYZ. 🙂

Think you need to “leran” to spell “mate”!
I didn’t ever imagine it could be true. I can never quite understand the GLA versus EDI mentality anyway. A mate of mine had to go through to GLA on saturday to pick up friends coming back from holiday and whilst waiting he got chatting to some “spotters” in the terminal area.
They were quite excited because a Duo CRJ had diverted in there from EDI. My mate said, “You can see them every day at Edinburgh.” The reply was along the lines of “Oh, we’re Glasgow spotters, we couldn’t go there.”
It’s like Celtic v Rangers! Crazy!
Dundee can’t take 737s nor A.319s. They can take CRJs and ERJs but that’s about the largest jets they can handle.

As a dundonian and an ex Dundee Airport based employee for Business Air, I think Dundee Airport’s terminal would need to be in for a HUGE refit and extension, never mind the runway!! As far I remember from when I worked there, Dundee Airport isn’t able to handle 737’s as the runway is too short.I think this Dundee thing must be a pile of sh!te.
Yes – when I saw the bit about Dundee I smelt a very large rat.

Bod,I believe that this one is G-SYFW. The example photographed at Duxford was G-WULF, whose CofA expired in June 2001.
Thanks for the info Mike. 🙂

Scale FW.190 9th June 1985
Very interesting pics. The Fw.190 scale replica especially interests me as I “think” this same aircraft is the one currently based at Perth. I photographed it in it’s present colour scheme at the Scottish Air Rally last August.

Hi Sam,
I live about an hour from ABZ, and was up there just a couple of weekends ago. The farm that DarrenBe is speaking about is derelict, and one of the local spotters told me that the farmer gave his permission for spotters to park their cars in front of the farm buildings just off the road. I believe that the Airport Authorities aren’t keen on cars parked on the track itself. I’m planning a trip up there again in the next few weeks, so I’ll give you a shout beforehand.
Cheers
Mark
I think it’s been mainly USAF C-130s through PIK recently, rather than mil charters.

Firstly, its “spink”, and secondly, there is no such thread. Not clever to start rumours when you havent got a clue what youre talking about.
It seems that the “messenger” has got it wrong!
Love the last 747 pic – stunning! 🙂
Fed up with seeing all the usual suspects, and as the Eurofighter isnt on the line up
Leuchars has one of the best line ups in it’s flying display ever this year – E-2C Hawkeye, J.35OE Draken, FA-18C, F-4F, Saab 105OE, not to mention a Ukranian AF Il-76, B-52H and a brand new Monsterjet scheme painted on a JbG32 Tornado, all on static display.
As for a Typhoon – well, you just never know your luck………….;) 😀
