Strikes me that the cause of the fire might be grounds for suspicion.
Why?
No it wasn’t wrong, it was war. They started it and we finished it……End of.
Bloody disgusting!
Beautiful, absolutly beautiful.
Thoroughly enjoyed the programme, flying sequences and the laid back presentation by Martin Shaw.
What on earth made them want to do that?
Perhaps because it’s nowhere near London:D
Doh!
A HAPPY NEW YEAR to all on the forum 😀
Can I have one?……………….please. please, please!
That explains it.
I`m reading: EMPEROR the GATES of ROME, by Conn Iggulden (It`s about the Romans).
Fluffy, I heard from a reliable scource that as no original H2S blisters exist, BAE SYSTEMS as the design authority for the Lancaster will not give their blessing for a replica to be fitted. So if this is the case how can we have flame dampers made and fitted but no H2S blister?
On a personal note I say leave it alone, the clean fuselage of the Lancaster looks a lot better without a large pregnant looking bulge underneath :p
I have to agree, I prefer the Lancasters lines without without the H2S blister.
Curly,
Can you clarify which is which ? In your post you said the guy was Mick Cowling who only ever became a corporal….
But in the link you posted the guy was indeed Les Hiddins who served in ‘nam and retired at the rank of major…..
So who is Mick Cowling ? (Que confused smiley…….. )
.
I can confirm that Les was a Major in the Australian Army.
Thanks for that.
Steve 🙂
I just love the sleek P40. Has anyone ever fitted a Merlin in one? I bet it would have appreciated the upgrade, just as the P51 mustang did.
