I can confirm that propulsion problems have been smoothed out, but who told him that sonar suite is ok I have no idea. Sonar integration with BIUS is the main reason why SPB is accepted by Navy for “Trial Exploitation” only.

30 dB drop for Lada is an exaggeration, perhaps if you compare to first hulls of 877 it could be true under specific circumstances, but definitely not if compared to latest 636s. Double hull means not only more volume for silencing but also larger geometry and acoustic interaction between two hulls (specific discreets appear in spectre) which is ugly thing against LF sonars.

Not every ship can carry Voskhod or Podberezovik size radar. Anyway, later versions of Fregat are multifunctional.
4×4 UKSK launchers can carry sufficient mix of a-sub and a-ship or lacm.

    Yeah.:D

-Is there any information on the Poliment radar? Brochures, news articles, specs…

-Is Poliment serving the roles of both Long-range Volume Search and Air Search/Target Acquisition or is there a second radar like Fregat for Air Search?

-Is the Redut-K SAM a derivative of Shtil or an all-new system? What are its parameters?

-Is the 91R anti-sub missile part of the RPK-9 Medvedka system?

    Thank you.

    – Yes. Speculations and insider tidbits. It’s not for export yet 😀

    – At least the first hull may have Fregat+ for volume search, atlhough Poliment is expected to provide volume search there are no specs on capacity and range

    – Redut-K is the “shorter” part of S-400 – SAM Vityaz’, so it has nothing to do with Shtil

    – 91R is the anti-sub missile of Club family and has nothing to do with cancelled Medvedka

BTW dionis I’m getting impatient for 22350 details.:D Isn’t the radar on the foremast a 4-planar phased array?

Project 22350: Poliment APAR providing volume search and FCS for Redut-K SAM with 9M96 and 9M100 missiles, optional Fregat+ (will have a different name) for volume search, Furke or Pozitiv-M1.2 target acquisition for Palash CIWS, Puma FCS for A-192 130mm gun, Monolit target acquisition for Onyx/Brahmos, Zarya-M2/Minotavr sonar suite for target acquisition for Club (91R anti-submarine missile) and Paket-NK. Anything else?

Thanks , why the difference in export and Russian power output , Does that imply Fizik-2 will be different then UGST-M and in which way ?

Just downgraded as usual. essentially the same torpedo.

snake65 can you please check that image of Torpedo that put up in post# 632 its in Russian language.

Do you know any progress as been made on UGST-M torpedo ?

    Thanks

That image deals mainly with types of engines used on different torpedoes. It says that UGST-M is in development phase and uses a 600 kW turbine D-19T with Hydrazyte + T1 (kerosene) fuel. Russian name for same torpedo is Fizik-2 with 800 KW turbine.

    So 8 3S-14M “UKSK” VLS will carry 32 Brahmos/Onisk ?

Yes, 32. The actual mix will depend on the mission – anti-ship or land-attack.

Then how is it going to launch Kh-101 missiles? Hmm, not through the Yakhont VLS tubes… but through the 650mm tubes, which it will have I am sure.

There are 8 3S-14M “UKSK” VLS modules installed which can acommodate anything in the inventory.

Well, it’s 1155.1 Admiral Chabanenko meaning that the other 1155 is Admiral Kharlamov or Admiral Levchenko (Severomorsk has the new Kolchan FCS aft) and 956 Gremyaschy making the other one to be Admiral Ushakov. Can’t see anything else.

pumpjet is not a magic solution to all problems , pumpjet primary advantage is it provides low noise at high speed something a prop cannot do without cavitating and hence generating noise.

At lower speed there is no advantage between prop and pump , infact at lower speed pump are less effecient.

Borei already uses Pumpjet so it is just a question and matter of need , perhaps the 885M Kazan may go for pumpjet.

Pumpjet has more advantages in shallow waters, i.e. on subs optimized for littoral operations

What is your image showing? And what is your point?!

It shows 5 torp ports of the same size.

    533mm tubes only? I don’t think so.

I’m pretty certain most of the tubes are 650mm, and can be retrofitted w/ 533mm kits and munitions.

To believe or not is your option. I prefer to know, not believe.;)

^^ Similar to Akula , what is that bumb on the hull just below the sail ? Sonar ?

Looking at the unevenness of the hull and sail , makes me believe its partially completed they need to perhaps rubber coat it ( anechoic tiles )

Seems quite smooth to me, much better than YD at “launch”.
    The “bulb” could be this
