    Thanks snake.

Do you know which particular ship this one is mounted on? Is it the R-60?

Yes, Palma is installed for testing on R-60

Is that first queer looking hump some sort of sthealtier version of the AK-630-2 (or something,) the dual gantlin barrel version of the AK-630 fitted in one modified Matka class hydrofoil? Is that system fitted for some floating ship?

Yes, it’s AK-630-2 Duet, a private venture by KBP. As the Navy is not enthusiastic about it, currently there are no on -ship trials planned, but that may change of course.

    UAZ:
These are mine tubes, 12 on P-650 and 8 on P-550, two mines per tube.

Speaking of that drawing, did you ever get the whole thing?

Different topic, does anyone have more info on the Pr. 21300 (submarine) rescue ship programme? I’ve only ever seen a *tiny* thumbnail drawing of it.

No, I don’t have it in full, but there’s not that much difference with 20380, except the radar.
Hope You’ll translate this from Russian yourself

Yes, it’s the same thingy that was pictured on Novik. It’s a cold-launch VLS, guess I posted somewhere here a drawing of forward section of 22350. There’s not much to elaborate right now, even the names are secret in Russia nowadays.

The next logical step would be to stick some KEIs in a CVN-21, kind of ATAKR 1143.7:diablo:

Well, I guess a new project name for 971 is a fantasy:cool: It doesn’t correspond to the project name which is Schuka-B, rather to the names of individual subs which are named after WW1 Russian subs. There was no Irbis in WW1 though. BTW, Irbis is the Russian name for snow leopard.
Regarding 22350 what would You like to know? The main AA suite will be Redut with Poliment-K APAR-like radar and 9M96 missiles. VLS Shtil-1 will be for export only. Redut will be also on second 22380. But it’s a long wait till 2010 or 2011 when we see it.:D

Masorin has already denounced this interview regarding the number of CVs. Now he speaks of only onc CV in next ten years and preservation of Kuz. “The rest is in the hands of our successors”. Seems he is going to stay as Navy Chief for next ten years, 😀

I thought I’ll never see a reincarnation of Project 1144:diablo:
Soviet Union was stuck on anti-sub defence. It seems that US are stuck on anti-missile defence. If 5 such ships are built at 5 billion each (and they won’t be cheap in service as well) it may mean that US is ready to sacrifice some of their CVs in exchange for AMD capability.
