Mars-Passat was intended to combine long range detection with handling of incoming low altitude targets, total number of targets handled simultaneously – 80. It was to replace Voshod and Fregat medium/long range radars and Podkat radar for low altitude targets. It’s similar in construction to Fregat only larger, and works in C band (instead of of E and H for Fregat), detection range is 500 km, detection height 40km, fighter can be detected at 240-400 km, a missile at 45-70km. It was intended as replacement of MP-600 Voshod in Flag radar complex. Allegedly,mode for detection of low altitude targets has been introduced using mono-pulse narrow beam, so it can replace Podkat as well.

There are 3 versions of 3S14 launcher: the original one, which is the one You are referring to – just metal beams :p, then there is 3S14K, which is the same, only boxed like a container, so it can be retrofitted into ships which were not purpose-built for this launcher, it’s heavier of course. The third version is 3S14P which I described.
Air launched Yakhont is 6,1m long, ship launched is 8m (8,9m with container). I can’t see any booster on air-launched version, anyway, whhy should it need one?

At the naval show in St.Peterburg 3S14PE launcher was announced. It’s an inclined two-box launcher (modification of VLS 3S14E for) with following dimensions: length-9,52m, height-4,6m, width-2,6m. 3S14 launcher is universal enough. It’s dimensions alow it to house all the missiles You mentioned. Actually I don’t see the point for Russians to develop two types of quite similar cold launch VLS. The biggest difference in 3S90 launcher for Shtil1 is smaller underdeck volume (around 6m deep, I guess). Dimensions for 3S14 are 3,76×1,97×9,58.

Currently the ships which have been nominated as possibles for Palma are the new corvette 20380 and the new frigate 22350.
There is no doubt, that currently the most advanced and potent missile/gun CIWS is Kashtan/KashtanM. Palma is a cheaper sidekick which can be installed in smaller ships, an opt-electronic Kashtan without reloads 😎

I’m afraid, that when (and if, of course 😉 ) they have this new carrier, most of these ships will be decommed already. They are building a couple of corvettes (may be up to 10) and talking about building 8000 ton frigates (destroyers??), so they may have still some escort for the carrier in let’s say 2016, but all this too speculative to talk about in greater detail.
