Indeed they now seem to have the fund but no industry that can develop all that things magically in 10 years.

    snake65 ,SAP 2011-2020 talks of 100 ships http://lenta.ru/news/2011/02/24/ships/

Any realistic breakdown on what these 100 ships and submarine constitute ?

    Thanks

Well. Let’s try to break it down.
    4 Pr.955 and 3 Pr.885.
    3 Pr.677 and 6 Pr.636M.
    10 Pr.22350 & Pr.11356 and 10 Pr.22380&22385.
    10 Pr.21632.
    2 Pr.11711, 10 Pr.21820.
    2 Pr.18280, 2 Pr.21300.
    4 Pr.12700.
Unspecified amount of ships and craft for Border@Coast Guard, couple of fleet tankers.
    That’s about it.

20 SSK for the Russian Navy by 2011-2020

    http://rian.ru/defense_safety/20110406/361564218.html

So most would be Kilo 636 and few would be Lada ?

First of all, most certainly there won’t be 20 new SSKs by 2020. And certainly, there will be at least one Lada 🙂

Looks like Soobrazitelny and Boiky are going to be ready within a short time of each other, no?

Soobraz is expected to attend INDS-2011 in late June. Boiky is just going to be launched, but certainly it has catched up.

Why can’t they use an upgrade similar to the Tor-M2? If the latter is still being used by the Army, why doesn’t the Navy want an equivalent system?

And again, what about the Klinok version that’s being offered for export? Is it also new?

Because it’s not navalized. Navy is certainly looking for something less bulky than Kinzhal. Palica offers the same 4 target channels per module, has longer range, is much lighter and based on up-to-date components.

Depends on the volume of highly hypothetic order. Most probably the export offer is simply out of date.

By the way, I believe the newer version of Kinzhal is installed on Kulakov, Simferopol and Murdy. Snake65, please correct me if I am wrong.

    Yes, you are wrong. 😉
The only test module of Kolchan is installed in the aft position of Simferopol, there’s a good photo in the last photosession of Kulakov.
Kolchan was a flop and there will be no upgrades. It would have been timely t10 years ago perhaps, but it offers not enough improvement for 2011. Kulakov and Jaroslav have the last Kinzhals available, presumably from Gorshkov, although I can’t confirm this with serial numbers.

Actually the naval Pantsyr is more of a CIWS, meant to replace the Kortik/Kashtan.

Missiles on Palica have longer range than Kinzhal.

How would the final price of this ship compare with another 45,000 ton aircraft carrier? Say…..Charles de Gaul?

    CdG – 3.7$ billion.

What happend to 9m100 ? Did they cancel it because morfei is in the pipeline or what ?

Nothing. It was still in drawings and mock-ups only. Morfey in it’s current form is another vapourware, just a concept and some component demonstrators.

yes, the only sub with dual-shaft is the pr941 Akula. Nothing else would have moved that monster.

All SSBNs (except 955), as well as Oscar, are dual shaft.

Is the 9m100 the Gibka?

Gibka has been chosen by Navy as short range non-command guided system.

    What do you exactly mean?
Is the 9M100 missile cancelled or the plan of fitting it on the Pr. 20380 corvettes is cancelled?

There will be no 9M100. Gibka.

So what will be the CIWS on 20385 , Kashtan-M ?

There are following options: AK-630M, Duet, Palma, Gibka. Kashtan-M is too big.
