Looking for a Chipmunk Propeller
.
Have lots of other chipmunk bits to trade
We have a number of panels that are spare so I will have a look if you have no look elsewhere
Well who would have though that our little piece that has sat on a shelf for 35 years could help move things along.
Pleased to be able to help
Just like to say that I am pleased that it will assist the Stirling Project.
We are reviewing all items that we have acquired over the last 45 years that are unlikely to be part of any meaningful future display so there could be a few more gems to pass on
Only interested in one Lot but it appears someone else is as keen as I have just been outbid
Oxygen mask Type H
Owner has contacted me to see if he is correct as he wants to make sure the listing is accurate
We have various Gazelle spares at NELSAM in Sunderland.
Drop me a message and I will arrange for you to have a rummage through our spares container
The S4 is Armstrong Whitworth and the G5 is Gloster
Could be F.8 as some were built by AWA
It is all traditional wood and fabric except for the engine which is all high Tech 3D printed.
The project has been a collaboration with the local ATC squadron and the museum and was backed by a small grant from HLF of about £7,000
It will be out and about at several more events including the Yorkshire Wartime Experience
It will also be front and centre on Palace Green in Durham as part of the North East Salute to the Royal Air Force on Saturday 23rd June
It is believed this will be the first aircraft to grace Palace Green since Hurricane P2617 on the 22nd May 1960 where it formed the backdrop to the presentation of the standard to 607 (County of Durham) Squadron

The culmination of a long day the F-100 Super Sabre appears outside for the first time in 26 years. First move was the Wessex to a position behind the Canberra from near the Trident. Next to move the electric fire truck from the tram shed. Grey Fire Engine pushed out up by the Bofors , Dennis and Leyland towed over by Trident and Green Goddess parked near the Abbot. Avon 200 pushed out by the crane all by lunchtime. This was followed by the F-100 out onto boards and onto the tarmac until the new display area is compacted. The fire engines were then pushed and pulled back into hangar 1 and all was complete by 4:30. Hangar 1 is due for a makeover with new lights, and a new roof. A big thanks to those volunteers who turned up today to make it happen. Another major piece of the rearrangement has been completed on schedule. NELSAM volunteers are truly awesome
Sabrejet,
It is mobile phone speak and or updating from mobile devices that leads to the lack of accuracy as messages become shorter.
On the F6D I have seen it with and without a hyphen, although I think F-6D is the correct version for the Mustang and F6D for the Missileer
Elliot,
I was with Mike on Saturday do you want me to put you in touch
Perhaps if I had said super sabre it would have avoided the confusion
Just a quick update
The 16 foot extension to the Navy Romney is nearing completion. The whirlwind HAR9 has now moved into the Romney for final painting and display. This is due to be followed by the Wessex and Dragonfly over the summer
A new hard standing area has been constructed ready for the F100 to come out of the storage hanger where it has sat for the last 30 years
