Tony,
Would be interested to see some of the photographs of the Lighnting that are in your bundle as they are clearly Saudi Air Force
Bit of a challenge but found three here
21st January 1971 is the date on the article in flight
John,
I have given scans to Graham Boak who is also on Britmodeller and this forum.
I will not be able to access them until the weekend so I will see if Graham has anything to add.
Had a look at the thread on Britmodeller and it is quite illuminating
Will have to have another look through my photos.
Just shows also how important first hand notes are especially as there are no contemporary colour photographs
607/608 Squadron Markings
John,
If you give me a link I might be able to make a positive addition to you discussion as I am custodian of the 607 squadron archive and also have a number of 608 squadron photographs.

I think you will find that there are two different issues
Copyright
Reproduction Fees
I belive the IWM, RAF Museum etc charge reproduction or licencing fees for their images
See what you mean
Opens ok from Post 5 and seems to be well researched.
I think the name appears to have been discussed but not become formal.
I have always known it as the TSR2
Pagen,
The thread mentioned in post 5 by DaveF68 gives further details
http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index….c,15271.0.html
It is well worth a read as are some of the other TSR2 threads on this site
I think Mr Bannerman does have an interest in airfields as he had two books published in 1990 & 1994
Towering Control
Airfields of Britain Vol 1
I have a copy of the later and the writing is somewhat enthusiastic and almost poetic in places.
I think the scheme could be good but needs to be rather more defined than it currently is.
Thought the following might be of interest as it covers G-AWNA and some of the others
The IAC machine was scrapped
