    I do see the point of a modified Mistral class as it is large and a good ship.
    The only problem is, its FRENCH. The government would buy it even if the design was built in the UK.
    The only thing i can think of is the French offering a discount due to CVF or a new build ship.

    I think the F-20 and B-50 stories are true as true can be.
    The X-31 carries correct information on this post.

    With regards to the Argus replacement could a modified Bay class do the job of the aviation training ship. If you got rid of the boats and turned the area in to flight deck and the well deck into a hanger you would get a good ship, wouldn’t you?

    There is no point adding a second engine to JCA this late as we have allredy spent enough as it is.

    These prices are in my eyes very good deals
    They are giving a reasonable price for the deals as a whole with all the munitions and stuff.

    Yes I belive the extra 0 is a typo
    (Slightly Off Point) The Eurofighters that the UK use are already nearly half way through their allocated flying hours. This means the UK has the first airframe crack that i saw when i was in the TMU at Conningsby

    I think JCA as we know it as in the British military is going to be just Lightning.
    The 2 isn’t something we use in the UK.
    I prefer the British way of doing it to.

    With regards to the question, it would make no real differance from what i know.
    It would be just as venruable to RPG’s.
    NOTAR would have better performance and would have the added point of more protection from RPG’s (He thinks)

    Sorry to say this and i know it makes me look like an idiot but what is MARS?
    I personally think that a repair ship is vital but also think we should have a dedicated ship to do the same role the Cambrea did in the Falklands.
    Also I think we need to sort out AEW for the carriers as a matter of urgency. Could a New build aircraft be the option for this role. It would be a similar aircraft to the V-22 but it could be a helicopter. Someone said to be we could have an aircraft with poded radar like a wedgetail but on hardpoints, is this possible?

    Yes but what will we do about a replacement for Ocean. She was built as a short term measure and she will need replacing.
    I think a Juan Carlos 1 class would fill this role brilliantly.
    Also should the Argus replacement be able to train JCA pilots
