I dont know about the rest of you but at the point my ESM starts beeping madly and especially if a missile launch is detected I will NO LONGER need the toilet.

I would have thought it would have made it worse, you might ***t your self 😛

My only issue with that MM is the fact that the props are so big would their be too much interfearence there?

Just going back a bit, the concept of AEW Osprey has been raised in a post? Just a thought, but would the presence of those two ruddy great rotor-prop-thingies mean that an AEW variant would end up with a fuselage looking like an AEW3 to avoid blind spots? This would really mean that it would end up as a single use airframe wouldn’t it, which would surely make it a little less attractive than Crowsnest?

It would be possible to mount the existing suite with updates off the rear ramp… Or their was plans for a radome atop the fuselarge…….

Not for the US though, it needs to be noted it is mainly to show the USM and possibly the RN and USN that it can be done. Great sales idea TBH

The French would have pressed the Argie Navy much more and probably would have sunk all the capital ships in port. The whole scenario would have been a billboard for Exocet sales, which it already was in the original incantation.

Apart from the fact the Falklands was the reason the UK stopped buying Exocet as they were easily decoyed by the RN in 1982. One hit a merchant ship and the other hit the Sheffield which was operating with it’s radar off. Yes one hit HMS Glamorgan (I know it was one of the counties) but only cased minor damage….

How is the V-22 Deathtrap going to refuel F-15s, 16s and A-10s?

It isn’t designed to. It’s for the USMC, USN and Possibly the RN as Bager has jsut said…. I do hope we have them for AEW, COD and Tanking on the QE Class 🙂

Forward thinking, if the USMC RoRo Refuling units work we could buy them for AEW, COD, Tanking and Anfib ops…..

With the RN why VL Exocet? The UK moved to Harpoon due to how poor Exocet was. Also Tomahawk doesn’t represent British industry, Naval SCALP would be better for the UK with regards to industry and independence. Could the US stop the UK using Tomahawk against Argentina for example?
