Thinking of knocking out the Tiffies on the deck, how well will CAMM perform against cruise missiles?
Just Germany and France and that may change with time. Spain does plan on purchasing a number of F-35B’s for the Navy. Yet, has also shown interest in the F-35A for the Air Force. Yet, that is some time off because of the current economic condition of the country. Regardless, most NATO Members plan on going with the F-35.
The Spanish can’t afford new fighters………….
TBH Canada needs something two engined due to the great distances involved…..
To station a Sqn wouldn’t actually cost that much, it would just mean one less deployable Sqn for the RAF, this won’t be such an issue once F-35 comes online or when the islands oil is flowing I am sure they could finance a couple of Gripen squadrons 😛
@Y-20 Bacon, No, let’s grab Harry so he can be king 😛
Where as I;m just hoping for me nation to be independent, if Wales charged 1p per thousand gallons of water it supplies to England it would have a higher GDP than Saudi Arabia…..
Before WW2, yes. IIRC it didn’t work very well back then.
IIRC The USN looked at fitting cats on the hanger deck on a new stealth carrier, I saw it over on shipbucket…….
Remember Typhoons are swing role and you may well see T3 be deployed soon and expect the Falklands to get them before long…..
The USN should do Aegis T45 😀 , gives comminality and also gives a good design and better stealth than the Burke…
Remember that since the purchase of Apache Lynx has no longer been an AT Helo. This is why that Wildcat has been designed to do most of the roles that Gazelle was doing. This means that instead of soldiering on with Gazelle they got Lynx doing some of the roles and let the other roles go…..
Twin Engine reliability 😛
RIP, he never really looked his age though…..
No your right, UAV’s can’t but Lynx, Merlin, Chinook, Puma and Wildcat can 😛
If they were told they had to deliver a project on time and on budget or face repercussions they would make good a/c but at the moment they seem to have free roam over the UK market!!!
And let BAe Screw up yet another project? I’d rather not 😛
