Not sure of the definition being used, but would Aldergrove/Belfast International fit into the Joint category, either now or in the past.

Likely a combination of UCAV with F35 and Strike loaded Typhoons

The US Army had Short’s 330 and 360 as the C23 Sherpa as well.

If the aircraft had exploded nuc material would have been scattered across the airfield. That’s a pretty disastrous situation. 🙁

I spend some time working from home and must get three or four of the (almost unintelligible sub-continent voice) “This is Windows security company, we have detected that you have a virus on your computer and we want to help you fix it remotely”

My favoured response to that one is

“How can you be sure my computer has a Virus… have you hacked into my computer … isn’t that illegal ?”

I did of course forget to mention XH558 which has visited me by flying over my house in addition to seeing her at several airshows now as well.

    I’ve visited 3 Vulcans

My Local at East Fortune of which I’ve been inside the cockpit a couple of times over the years
Carlisle last summer where again I had the opportunity to go inside the cockpit
And the Vulcan at NEAM earlier this year.

To complete my V collection I’ve been in the Valiant cockpit section at Inverness last summer, and visited the Victor at YAM earlier this year as well.

I’m aiming to add Newark next year, though it’s a bit far for a day trip 🙂

Excuse me if this is a silly question, but would these taxi runs be done with Live ejection seats ?

Just a random thought, surely a future light carrier needn’t be that large, as it would in the future be a UCAV carrier.

Would something of the flightdeck size of Ocean with Emals or Emcats for launching with a barrier cable landing not suffice. It’d have a hanger deck full of UCAVs, it would also be capable of Helicopter operations.

Surely this would be the type of force mutliplier of the future

No idea if this has been mentioned previously; an interesting view of egkb on Google maps currently. Taken during a recent AirFair (static VC10 – 2010?). Eight red arrows rolling out along the runway with one (red 8 judging by the spacing) apparently doing a go around to the northeast of the runway threshold.

Would that not be a formation landing where the pull to the left and right edges of the runway and bunch up at the far end from the approach before turning around in sync, before Red one comes down he middle with each then following on in order back to their parking area ?
