Bright, innovative and interesting…. breathtaking realy… not seen anything like ’em… good work!
Can anyone please just confirm that the ‘190’ made it home safe and sound.?.. just for peace of mind.
I was at DX yesterday…. And by the look of it Sunday evening, too, the tail wheel strut had dropped/deflated as the engineer’s were at it with a nitrogen bottle, leaving with it at a much better attitude… it then took off with the
mk19 looking and sounding fine. Nothing on the new’s so assume it got back ok.

The reason the Sea Harriers aren’t taking part is that they are single engined fighters and considered to be too unreliable to be flown over London.
Better tell the Red Arrows – they just stonked over Royston in a southerly direction around 20 minutes ago – Loadsa potential there for single engine stoppages…:dev2:

All dependant on weather and servicability: I suspect a repeat of the original trip is to be avoided…
If it was to be such a srprise and to have an elaborate reveal – why is it all over the BBMF web site declaring what the nose art is to be and what it look’s like???? If the BBMF wanted it to be so secret, why have a full page of photo’s of the proposed art work and the original – instead of keeping schtum and doing a big ‘show’? They obviously don’t mind so why do some others??
Bit of a hint about this here:
Doh!:D How didn’t I spot that…?! “Couldn’t see the Wood for the tree’s”:(
Spotted this on the ‘planes of fame’ site – putting two and two together, which I know you shouldn’t do but…..
“Planes of Fame Air Museum is planning two very special events for Saturday, March 31st. P-38 ‘Glacier Girl’ will be here at the Museum as she is prepared for her trans-Atlantic flight this summer.”
THAT would be very nice to see….
You know, thanks to jackattack I’ve currently got over 80 photos from the overhaul saved now! These are great, such a tease with the new markings not really showing, and it looks to me like there’s some jiggery-pokery going on on her nose there- covering the Phantom until the big unveil, maybe?! 😀
Not trying to spoil a surprise but I saw this on the BBMF web site just now – may answer the question about the nose art? Nice…..
No rumour -there WILL be flourescent tabbards on view live side!!:diablo:
Eric Gujion never fails to raise a smile.
On the way back home sunday he suffered total Hydraulic failure in the F4U-4 and had to blow the gear down before landing.
All safe and sound and testament to a good pair of hands.
Good pair of hand’s? Any relation to a ‘digitaly’ enhanced engineer from the lincolnshire area?
