My family are from Ardrossan – so I meant Arran – last time I was there I was in shorts with a woggle around my neck.. And all I remember is midges….
The only thing I found on Arran were midges !!!!
Saw her from my back garden flying in over Brampton into Carlisle – couple of lovely turns and then off down South.
It may also just be my eyes – everything else is falling apart.
I attach the two stamps on the two inner ribs. The letters/numbers on the inspector stamps are VERY small.
The first numbers confirming it is wellington are badly struck and you need to look at different angles to see the numbers
Scotavia – you are correct wrt stencil for the aircraft id on the inside.
I did clean up a piece of Lancaster yesterday and found a nice RY – Avro Yeadon stamp
Thank you Sir – well at least a bit of her still survives – port lower engine cowl. Id stencilled on rear.
Several decades of emulsion paint and underneath the original Night Black.
Mike sorry I have been away for the last few days.
I have Konrad Knirims book on British Military Timepieces and the 6a reference you have given does not match with any mk2 or 3 that he has listed.( But then neither does the Mk4 I have).
There was a very useful list on the internet – with all references by Chris Pearce in New Zealand but it seems to have fallen off the net.

Although looking at the Magister instrument panel I am not sure where you could fit a mk3 in one of these. It is a big clock.

With only around 80 made the Skeeter is indeed an unusual piece.
Thank you to all who assisted!
Can anyone assist with the id of these unrelated pieces that have the part No’s mention above
368 C2 25 03645 – spacer plate
368 C3 42 D863 – cowl ring rear bracket
368 C4 X PA806 – panel
I am guessing post war British or US from the light yellow primer on the inside.
Well done that man – central panel of a skeeter – between the seats.

Thanks Alan and Bruce.
Whilst you have your thinking hats on – do any of the following part numbers make any sense or attributable.
368 C2 25 03645
368 C3 42 D863
368 C4 X PA806
Bruce – thanks for the fast reply.
It did look too fat for a side panel.
Please find requested pics.
Elliot – what would parts with a 368 reference come from?
368 C2 25 03645
368 C2 42 D863
368 C4 X PA806
can’t seem to match it with anything on the list.
Thanks
They might have had more luck mucking around with this bit – than a crash damaged part…
