Stearman or C135
I understand that one of the Halifax that Stan flew was called the Krupps Kracker – does anyone have any further details or possibly an image ?

Thank you FP – I have sent them a note this afternoon.
I have a contact from my discussions on the Fuel Management desk.
I have over 30 of the smaller lower spring bars and half a dozen of the upper bar section.
The lower spring bar – the MOD one is bigger and longer than the domestic version (shown in the picture) – I dont have any left spare – sorry.
The anglepoise spare springs are the correct size plated ones – so even though they are £18 – they are the ones I use.
JDH I have the top bar that you refer to as well as the spring lower bars.
Local lad was navigator on a Coastal Command fortress flying from the azores with 220 Sqdn. – U-boat hunting. Got a medal for finding and sinking the U707 ( and probably for getting back home).
If you look at the location of the U707 sinking on the map – it is a speck of water in the middle of nowhere. I assume Bletchley was involved ?

So RAF Coastal Command Fortress 1 – would be nice to see at some time.
But I have a section of wing from a USAAF B17G in my store and those chaps deserve an awful lot of recognition.
I have the spare bars – the springs you will have to get from angle poise at £18.
Andy – thank you – that was exactly my thoughts.
Still a little bit expensive..
Elliot – nice window on eBay – definitely Luftwaffe – definitely as dimpled as Kirk Douglas’s chin.

As seen at Speyer last year.
We have talked about them before on here (I think I recall).
