Just remembered -the Frost one is just the flaring tool – you will need the matching hole cutters.
Frost Restoration sell them too:
I have several and they work well.
Thanks Mike, I hope it is a good vintage.
The surface is cleanable with solvents and polishes – but as you confirm the limpet circles are etched into the glass. Reminds me a little of HF – hydrofluoric acid – nasty stuff that etches glass ( and bones)…
the new frame is coming together nicely. I also have a mk 11 turret projector gunsight to project onto it as well.
Keeps me busy in the winter.
Was this the one on ebay?
Yes – why is that relevant ?
playing around with the images on photoshop.
Anyone fancy a game of spot the Limpet.
I will start making a new frame for it this afternoon.
I think this proves at least that it is from a sea recovery.
Edit – when overlaid the large limpet at the top is in exactly the same shape/place on both.

Here you go, facing onto one of the largest Village Greens in Cumbria, no concrete in sight and full of character on multiple levels, look at the height of the front bedroom windows and those at the rear side and you will get what I mean……. Sigh
Looks like Houghton to me – just outside of Tombstone upon Eden – sorry Carlisle.
Bit confused about why anyone would want to fly these aircraft over Motherwell and Wishaw.
The photo opportunities of a Mosquito and Chatelherault seem to have been limited.
Now I understand.
T.O. – I would love to come on Saturday. However I have just got back from Dublin and I am off again to France on Monday.
With several panels ordered as Christmas presents still to be finished and shipped – Ayesha – She who must be obeyed would not be pleased with an additional gallivant (ref. H. Rider Haggard).
Rapidly running out of year…
Have a nice time..
P.S. From up here – Northish – doesn’t start until at least Doncaster…

Nothing exactly matches but the upper gunner position looks possible due to colour and tubes etc. but i cannot see any pics of this upper position.
If I recall my computer seat is a Navigators seat from a 125.
Not one of the 5c 1079 series of Navs lamps that were used by the RAF.
Just been restoring a couple of them..
The round base on this one is not original – just to allow it to be used on a desk.
I have also decided to withdraw from the forum. Good luck to everyone and I hope I have been if some to use to those I have helped over the years.
Your help with German artefacts is invaluable. Please do not leave because of this..
I assume the Stukas are meant to be D Types ? They dont have the large air inlet at the rear of the engine bay on the port side.
I have a Jumo 211 supercharger to give to Merlin Pete – I tried the air inlet in place today and there you go….
No guarantee that it is the right way round – but the 9 studs align perfectly.
