They were on the radio yesterday morning ( Radio 4 ) – talking about Hurricanes and the resultant need for plastic surgery …

A reasonably good way to spend an hour. No cockpits open.

Everything was well looked after and clean.

Anon on the zombie thread on two T33’s in the scrapyard – I think we concluded which two were scrapped.

Proof was data plate and what was painted on the nose of one of them.

Sorry got to go out for dinner now – so can’t search to find the thread.

    Burp – back from dinner.

    Thread was

Tony as someone who lives on one of the approaches to Spadeadam – they still are flying low.

Tornadoes last Friday at ca. 100 m above the house.

A400M, Chinooks, Hawks, etc. etc. all common species.

Often look down on Chinooks sneaking up the nearby valley.

As we are having our roof retiled at the moment – we have had to warn the roofers to hang on – especially as they usually come in pairs.

On the Spadeadam T33’s there was the thread on the two that were scrapped at Longtown. some mangled bits there have had a happy life being re-used as film extras – a Robson film on Tyneside a couple of years ago – and shortly will be seen again pretending to be a Spitfire crash..

    Thank you Chaps.

I had a look at the exhibit list and also the fuzzy google street view.

I will try and get by on Friday pm.

The 2012 Tokens are all cut, etched and polished.

I just have to drill out the mounting holes and spray the gold ones!

So they will be ready for the event!

Who will remember to bring the hammer and stamps this year ?

Not to detract from the object of the thread but has anyone used reclaimed material from an aircraft for any purpose other than a collection piece that came from said aircraft.

How about cladding a wall in C47 with hints of C119 ?

Bits of the wall 3m x 5m before it left us for installation.
