P.S. I am assuming that this is the co pilot seat .
More wear on LHS top edge.
No map bag and seatbelt holder on top RHS as shown on drawing.
Panel sold for £440 plus fees i.e £560
Looks like some corrosion on the base and on the steel inset and it needs a new sign that spells correctly..
It appears to be the same base mechanism as used on Lancasters pilot seat as well as Lincoln pilot seat- although their seat backs are higher, stronger and deeper.
Went for ca. £220 in total plus pick up from Jodrell Bank before Monday

The weathering is good but it is too small at ca. 40cm max width on the cross
Please see dimensions for National Markings shown in Luftwaffe Colours.
Thanks to all.
The Tupelov SB had similar holes along the stringers as shown
Mark I was referring to the upper stringer in the inside view – that has a row of lightening holes along the length
Buccaneer nose and font fuselage on a low loader crossing the border at Gretna heading south on Monday morning at 0900.
Chris – very nice and still very rare clock!
I get a lot of clocks that were painted white or gold in the 60’s and 70’s as well as many bulkhead clocks that were painted around on the wall.
I tend to use 0000 wire wool and increasing solvents to find the point that the paint lifts but not any layers below it. So starting with meths, then turps and then 3M 08984 ( always useful for removing sticky labels) then standard thinners and final option is Synchem strippit.
You need to wet the surface for a minute or two and gently wipe with the fine wire wool to see if it is lifting any paint. Then wipe off and try the stronger solvent etc.
It helps being a chemist.
Good luck.
Tim I was told a few years ago that there was a trick question – how many Rolls Royce Merlin engines did the RAF own in WW2 – answer none – they were all owned by RR and returned to RR for overhaul after X hours in use. They were just leased by the RAF.
Hence as written above an engine may have been used on several different airframes after each return to service.

US Air Force 1950 to 70 aircraft wing ?
Looks like a section of a Lynx tail fin end section. Similar to a Wasp fin I had in the past
Air brake or undercarriage door.
Erm no idea what you are talking about as have stayed away from Compass as being too hot..
Some old discussion and confirmation on page 2 that the P8M has four luminous stripes.

I have found this site helpful in the past
https://compassmuseum.com/aero/aero.htm
They list the P8M with 4 stripes.
