    RE: Books(again)

    >>How many weekly/monthly aircraft publications does everyone buy

A LOT! I didn’t buy my first Air international or FSM until I was 17. It was another 3 years before my collection really kicked in but a full time job helped at the time. 🙂
My library has been 15 years now in the growing.

    OK.

    My collection.

    Australian Aviation
Aircraft & Aerospace Asia Pacific (on occasion depending on content)
    ModelArt (bi-monthly)
    Fine Scale Modeller
    Scale Aircraft Modelling
    APDR
    Military Technology
    Naval Forces
    Combat Aircraft (bi-monthly)
    AFM
    Air International
    Flypast
    RAN League NAVY (quarterly)
    WARSHIPS:IFR (bi-monthly)
    Air Pictorial
    Aircraft Illustrated
    Proceedings
    World War II (bi-monthly)
    World War 2 History (bi-monthly)
    Aviation History (bi-monthly)
    JETS (bi-monthly I think)
    DEFENCE TODAY (formerly API/bi-monthly)
I have 6 months of TIME from last year but don’t collect them anymore, at the moment.

International Air Power Review Journal (case bound/quarterly)

    Soon to add;

    Osprey Military Journal (bi-monthly)
Japan’s SHIPS OF THE WORLD (monthly?)

    And possibly later..

    Scale Models INTERNATIONAL
    TAMIYA MODEL Magazine
    Scale Aviation Modeller

Don’t even get me started on books.. 🙂

    >>in fact how much do you spend per month

TOO much, probably well over AUD$100/month including subscriptions. I have cut back recently to try and catch up on some reading.

    >>and what do you do with them when you,ve read them???

I am a collector, I spend too much on them to simply throw them away.
Storage will be a problem in another 5-10 years time thats for sure. I will need a bigger apartment before too long. I have a lot in boxes at the moment pending the purchase of new bookcases.

    Regards, Glenn.

Bugger I missed this – I knew number 1, and in fact it was the actor Teli Savalas as Sgt.Guffy who said it!

Well I certainly hope it was not painted that way, all IJN ZEROs on that day in December were light grey. 🙂

    Nice shot.

    RE: Beauty contest shame

Nigeria? Are you sure? Ms.Panama has taken the crown now after the Russian girl was sacked, so Panama should be the next venue.

    RE: Latest update

Qantas are now facing law suite over their involvement in penny pinching, with familly members having to pay upto and over $3300 for a ticket to fly into Bali on mercy missions, a normal ticket doesn’t cost more than $800 return, but Qantas are claiming that their insurence is pushing up the price of the tickets. An investigation is now underway by the consumer industry.

WHAT? I hope the ACCC deal with it! A lot of insurance firms are honoring travel insurance claims after this tradgey despite policies not covering terror acts. QANTAS recently revealed a good profit for the last quarter, WAKE UP and have a HEART you SH#TS!!

    RE: Tokyo..

Its a combo of the Tokyo Motor show and the Auto Salon. A lot of the vehicles are radical – or modified – designs yes.
