RE: Rubish
We have a team and they are the world’s biggest under-achievers IMO. I would be HAPPY just to see them Qualify!

RE: Landing on water
Dutchy, go ahead. Don’t mind my sarcasism. 🙂
RE: SOME NICE VIEW’S
Great shots! Reminds me of the Sunrise at our backs coming back from NZ last week when we left Auckland at 6:30am!! Yes, its bloody early. It was a very BRIGHT hot pink and then orange, I swear.
Regards, Glenn.

Indeed funny! I have just flown with AIR NEW ZEALAND and we took 767-200/-300s to and from NZ, and the safety cards always get me. The chances of landing, or should I say ditching a large commercial plane fully loaded in ONE piece is minimal I think. Obviously depicting the best possible outcome of what could be the worst case scenario. We don’t want people to believe they will die if the plane has to ditch, do we?

RE: How to tell which airline she works for.
Ja,
What a crack up! 🙂
RE: Aircraft collide over Germany

>sooner or later. Its very sad.
Ben,
It shouldn’t though. The Swiss ATC told the Tu-154 twice to alter altitude but didn’t respond, and what happened to the collision warning system that the 757 should have had? There seem to be doubts about whether or not the TUPOLEV had this system fitted. Something sounds fishy…

PhantomII,
Hi.
http://www.airtimepublishing.com
But don’t bother, they are still building it, and all you will get there is COMING SOON! They have been building the site now for well over a year, if not more. Talk about slow. Last I heard from them was that they still had a few copies of the original Spirit of the Skies left but that was months ago.

A new version? Well that might be worth waiting for then.

CD-ROM references depend on content and the Authors, price usually reflects what you get. I have some from American MPC Research and they are not bad but only have basic data, although the MPEG video footage is handy, as well as the galleries.
>Is Airtime the company that does World Air Power Journal?
Now they are yes. Aerospace Publishing no longer print them, and as far as I know AIRtime still have quite a few back copies of WAPJ and WOF (Wings of Fame). Interestingly, They have just introduced the quarterly payment option for INTERNATIONAL AIR POWER REVIEW JOURNAL, which means you get charged as they send them to you. Aerospace Publishing did the same about a year or so before the collapse of the WAPJ and WOF series. Omenous signs perhaps? I hope not.
Regards, Glenn.

RE: Aircraft collide over Germany
Looks bad! Thank god the 757 was not another air liner full of people. But one has to feel sorry for the ones (95-100 of them) on the Tu-154. 🙁 Another bad day for aviation.
