    RE: Injured on a aeroplane

This very UA 747 was the same one involved in the ‘clear air’ turbulance incident on Wednesday May 1. The jet fell suddenly for a few seconds apparenlty. Back luck plane if you ask me. And yes quite a few people were injured in the turbulance incident, one at least seriously.

    Regards, Glenn.

    RE: HMAS Canberra

Tell me about it! BTW, that IFR last year was briliant, and a mate of mine was there to cover it and took heaps of good photos which can be found at http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/MONITOR/, but you will have to seek out the article covering it.

    In fact I found it here;

    http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/MONITOR/ISSUE3-5/mazumdar.html

BTW, it was the Darwin at the IFR, not the Canberra.

Pic below of the Darwin from IFR 2001.

After learning more about West Beirut..

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-04-02 AT 11:33 AM (GMT)]..in 1982 and the Phalangists that Sharon let into those refugee camps, I think another attrocity in Jennin is very good possibility, indeed some witnesses have reported indiscriminate shootings by Israeli soldiers there. Ariel Sharon I think has a lot to answer for.

    [updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-04-02 AT 01:15 PM (GMT)]Arthur,

Don’t tell me you went into this film expecting historical accuracy?? And I have yet to see it BTW, I never go around to it on that day, but will soon. I will give you my play on it later. 🙂

Funny about the B-52 strikes though, on the official website they are mentioned as part of the history, but obviously not part of the film. 🙁

Note: Not surprising I guess but my local paper has given the film 4 stars.

    Regards, Glenn.

Production mate, production. Recreating the Titanic inch for near inch to 80% full scale and everything that went into it, including getting the same company that made the original crockery to do it again! And then, sinking it all in the world’s biggest man-made tank. At $300 million, it ranks up there with the best in terms of production.

Titanic, while not brilliant script wise would have to win the global honour for production! Next to Ben Hur of course.

    RadiO,

So I take it you are a James Cameron fan then? I am an all time Aliens fan, that film is one of my top ten for sure, the special edition is of course the best cut. 🙂

    Ben,

With many years left to live I hope I can say that I have yet to see it, and from those I have seen, too many to name that I would consider ‘top’. 🙂

    Computer specs…

..and several thousand dollars..ok I know what I am looking for then. IL-2 reminds me, looking at the screen shots, a lot of Janes WW2 Fighters, in thats visually is very impressive, although IL-2 obviously takes the detail and realism to the next level. Can’t wait to play it. 🙂
