G-ASEA’s pic is a Gee Bee Model A, think the rules exempts flown since 1939 not built before 1939, and there are other pre ’39 craft on the thread already

I couldn’t see any more PBY, 🙁 but there was plenty of ‘junk’ that side of the fence. The next few shots are on on the AMARG grounds or flying into/around Davis-Monthan

Day 4. Well after an early morning get up (even by my standards) my girlfriend and I get to Reagan Airport only to find our flight was cancelled! But the airline managed to switch our flight to one that left from Dulles, but not for some 10 hours! so after getting to Dulles and depositing our bags we where forced to find something to do…. So Back to the Udvar-Hazy it was.:diablo:

Spent most of yesterday watchin A-10’s approach Davis-Monthan Az, on a slighlty more modern note there was a C-130, F-16 some RAF Tornado’s and a quartet of eurofighters

Excellent to see the Bartini, although on a technicality its an Ekranolyot, not an ekranoplan! (it can fly outside the ground effect)

As for my own unusual a/c how about:

Lala-1, testbed for the engine/layout for the M-15 Belphegor (An-2 with the tail lopped off!)

    or

An-2E, antoher ekranoplan (and another An-2 ‘Type’)

I would have suggested the Bugatti 100, but thats pre war and due to the invasion of france it unfortunately never got a chance to fly
