Great photos ! lovin the bmibaby shot and lovin the new style titles.
Its a 737-800 both ways.
Great shots there. I especially like the 3rd one, great angle there with the above view of the wing and engine!
😀
Depending on the actual aircraft there will most likely be drop down screens however these will only be used for the safety video as Monarch Scheduled services no longer offer inflight entertainment on flights scheduled for less than 3 or 4 hours.
As for the seat preference this is just a matter of personal opinion as all the seats are the same at around 28-29″ on the A320 and their other shorthaul aircraft fleet however if you want more legroom as you probably know these can be booked from around £15 and sit towards the front of the aircraft.
Their inflight meals could be a little larger for what you pay however they are really tasty. Depending on the time of your flight you can get a full English from £5 or a choice of two different main courses from £6 on afternoon flights.
Hope this helps, have a good flight! 😀
Yes that code you see is Boeing’s customer code for First Choice Airways, it has been the same since the days of Air 2000. That goes for all the airline codes shown on that picture.
Yes Thomsonfly will be operating the 757 on the friday flights throughout the summer.
Currently showing the thursday morning 8:10 departures are to be operated by Thomsonfly 737-800. However also showing is a 9:05 First choice airways departure which is to be operated by a 757-200 flight FCA 2452.
On the holiday companies websites it shows that FCA will be operating the 8:10 flight so it all look quite confusing at the minute with both airlines booking engines showing flights for each airline. I think the best thing to do to find out exactly is to wait until May when the summer season begins to kick in.
An addition that I thought was quite good was that on both flights the crew said, welcome on board this Jet2.com scheduled service. They realy emphasized scheduled. I think that added a nice touch as it gives a more full service flight feel.
Ryanair also say this on their flight’s… I didn’t think these airlines did much other than scheduled services but then again it’s probably just said to remind the ‘chav’ passengers that they’re not on a charter so that the crew won’t have as many nappies to clean up on the turnaround at the end of the flight… 😉 😉 😉
Good trip report there though mate some good pics aswel, i like to see a few from the cabins, cheers.
It is planned to be operated by one of their 737-800, which the route has operated by since the beggining of the winter schedules 🙂
Cheers 🙂
Exactly the logical idea would be to replace the older 733 fleet with newer 737NG aircraft just like Tuifly in germany is and also other airlines in the TUI group including Thomsonfly are adding more 737-800s to their fleets so replacing these aircraft with a small number of Airbus aircraft from the FCA fleet would definately not be the way they go. As ‘threedeltamax’ says it will most likely be the FCA airbus aircraft that get replaced before any other, the A321’s are already planned to have left the fleet by summer next year.
Yes bmi have self service check-in’s at EMA although you can check in online 24 hours before your flight so you could always check-in the night before online.
From 1st November although you will still see the aircraft in MYT livery for some time yet probably even up to next summer.
Yes the Flyjet summer program of flights will end on the 31st October although from the 4th October the flights will no longer be operated with the Flyjet 757aircraft or crew and will be operated by another carrier, at the moment it has said to be 2x XL france A320s.
These aicraft will not go to Monarch they are going onwards to a contractor in America to convert them into freighters rumoured to be bought by Fedex.
I was also jsut going to comment on where you got your information from jet22 as i have close contacts that work for thomsonfly and they have heard nor have been nothing more than what i have said on my previous comments.
However the reason why it has been commented about the TUI UK uniform changing is because if you look at TUIfly germany then you will see that they are phasing in a new uniform for the rebreanding of the airline despite at first the TUI group having a company wide uniform based upon the ‘sun, sea, sand and sky’ sheme albeit slightly different aspects of the uniform in different companies and branches of the industry.
