Can the A321 reach New York??

No the A321 wouldn’t be able to reach New York from the UK especially with full fuel and payload. So it seem unlikely that it would be with noe of these aircraft.

It might be one of the shorthaul 767-300 having some maintainence and interior adjustments before the start of the summer season.

Just a quick question to flybynite or anyone else who has actually been lucky enough to have seen the re-fitted planes, have they had the new overhead style bins and ceiling panels installed like on the their 762s and on FCA’s 763s or are they still the original style and anyone who knows they may be flying on one soon to maybe get some quick pics or do a trip report?:D

    Thanks

The seat shown on the http://www.thomsonsenses.co.uk is in fact the premium seat which in my opinion is not as “large” as the old style premium seat, and yes the meal tray is infact attached to the seat infront unlike the old style (armrest).

I suppose if they extend out far enough which i suspect they do then this is probably a better option as it will make the seat width seem roomier although i must say that the seat shown its self doesn’t look that much like a premium seat as compared to the ones on FCA aircraft. I think they are the exact same ones Air Canada now use in their 767 and 777 economy cabins.

Just to clarify…. BRIG/BRIF/BYAA/BYAB are all 767-200’s and are not being refitted, just the 767-300’s noted by their reg G-OBY_, tho not all 767-300’s are having the refit, just 5 from what I understand with one staying in the 315 config, but having the new seat back system fitted. As previously mentioned BRIG/BRIF have or are due to leave the ThomsonFly fleet leaving just BYAA/BYAB which will return to the 290 config for the coming Summer Season.

I thought that 5 aircraft were going to be in the new longhaul layout with 279seats with premium and a 6th longhaul aircraft with 297 seats without premium and the remaining two 767-300s with the standard 328 seats for shorthaul routes but i have heard this may have changed now so that there are six re-furbished with the full longhaul layout with premium?

I know that the planned number of seats of 283 on the re-fitted planes has been slightly reduced to 279 because of the smaller amount of legroom that there would have been on the very last row.

Also another quick question to flybynite or anyone else who has actually been lucky enough and seen the re-fitted planes, have they had the new overhead style bins and ceiling panels installed like on the their 762s and on FCA’s 763s or are they still the original style and anyone who knows they are flying on one soon to maybe get some quick pics or do a trip report?:D

One of their 767s yhas been in DUB for the last week or so seems to be getting the cabin redone.

Do you know which type or registration number it was at all as i know that
762 G-BRIG has now left the fleet to go onwards to Silverjet.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Yes i think that the seat that they are showing on the site as the premium one, will actually be the economy seat because the tray table is on the back of the seat which in premium they will have the in arm rest tray tables or you will have to lean forward quite abit to eat your meal;)

Also from May 1st the Aldo Zilli meals should be available on all flights short and long haul.
    Hope this helps astraeus471.

I would love to see some real photos of the new cabin on the actual re-fiited aircraft anyone have any photos yet or know anywhere on the net where there is any?

    Thanks

While on the subject of TOM’s 763s does anyone know yet if they have or are being been fitted with the newer style overhead bins the same as on their 762s?

    Thanks

TOM’s 733’s are quite descent enough inside. The majority of them have leather seats and are generally quite comfortable especially for most of the short flights they are used on.
